I genuinely do see US 14 happening eventually, but I don't think it will be in 1.42. Kinda depends on when said version comes out, but I figure it's probably around one or two months before the beta drops and that might not be enough time for a somewhat large addition.

Regardless of what anyone might want from I-80, it seems fairly set in stone to me that the Bay Area will take precedence - aside from the dds, it contains many of the most obvious casualties of 1:35 scaling, and it's a large enough area that I doubt they could reasonably do a third of Nevada alongside it. I could maybe see them doing a little detour in the next section, since the Bay Area conveniently finishes the western stretch of I-80, but that's not really SCS's usual style. And even if it was, we'd still probably be looking at no earlier than 1.44.

I don't think 1.42 will be very large. It's not going to be SUPER minor - if it was, they'd have just released it with Wyoming - but I doubt the focus will be on new roads, unless they're something weird like the absent stretches of US 95 or US 26. Maybe resigning Hobbs a bit.

Well we really don't know when SCS will jump to city making with the rebuild. As far as we know, they are still skipping cities for now and doing roads leading up to cities. So the bay area is huge. That is all urban and they might not be ready for that. Per the dds file, looks like San Jose will make the map. So a tweaked San Francisco, a revamped Oakland and hopefully a brand new San Jose, that is a ton of time by itself. The rebuild team is very small and it could take them a year alone just to do all that with a small team. I think the bay area could be pushed in favor of more roads leading to the bay area. I still wish SCS pushed CA-99 North of Sacramento to I-5 and add CA-20. That is a small enough project to add density to Northern California.

I can see all of I-80 in California getting reworked though. The problem then though is now the huge quality gap in Nevada with that approach. I'm hoping SCS has been able to hire 2-3 more mappers since the beginning of the year to add to the rebuild team. Wyoming was created mostly with newbies. So SCS got a real good group in. If they can get a few more to toss on the rebuild team, sweet. People are still tied up with Texas. The Wyoming team should have moved to Montana. All 10 of them will need to be there so not much to spare for rebuild outside of newcomers to the team. SCS can't spare Texas if its the next dlc to release. Unless of course Texas duties for (x) amount of people are done. There will be no shortage of work in ATS for years though. So keeping everyone busy should be pretty easy.

In this update, I would like to have a redesigned I-80 in Nevada, and the addition of a city and two roads with Wyoming, namely US-14, Cody and US-287

Dude its WAY too soon for I-80. California has to be redone first before moving on to Nevada

I hope they do Nevada before Arizona. Nevada is the ugliest state right now which is a shame as at has the same feelng of emptiness as New Mexico.

It's logic to do according to release date. ;)

I disagree. California as a whole will take much longer than just doing I-80. I have been advocating for I-80 myself for the past couple months. Once I-80 in Californis is done, we will have I-80 in Nevada drag all of I-80 down. The road is as good as its weakest link.

South of I-80 California is a year or so away. I-80 California, Utah and Wyoming is valid now. I-80 in Nevada should be fast tracked to bring all of I-80 up. Sierra Nevada made I-80 fun. Cheyenne to San Francisco will help solidify travel on 80 and newer dlc's than Southern California. One person on I-80 in Nevada in phases isn't asking for too much. Imho, that helps sell Utah and Wyoming. California is base map and is a slow free rebuild. Dlc's have the upper hand as they are paid. Once Texas comes, both Utah and Wyoming will be discounted. That encourages sales for those that held out.

as much as you guys would like that I can't agree. some other places and highways need major rework. Sure it I-80 would look nice but it wouldn't make sense of direction on remaking. it should be 1 state at a time instead of doing one part of it and then moving on to another state to fix another part.

Normally I'd agree with anyone in this matter. But not with I-80 at stake. Its the only Interstate in Nevada to worry about. I-15 is short. Other roads could wait. I-15 is updated from Vegas and North of it. I-80 is one of the US's heaviest truck routes. California is probably a 2 year build. That is 2 years of a quality gap. Going from good quality to bad quality then back to good doesn't make since either.

Once we go good, it should stay that way. Nevada hurts I-80 once I-80 in California is updated to good quality.

I agree that it would be nice to get I-80 in Nevada reworked before finishing all of California. That said, we don't really know when I-80 in California will be reworked (maybe next update, maybe one after that, maybe in two years?).
So it might be good to wait until I-80 in California is confirmed as being in-progress before we start asking for I-80 in Nevada.
