I probably spent an hour playing with it and while I know it’s a beta I cannot find a setting that works well. It’s like it’s way to sensitive in the middle at higher speeds I find myself having to twerk the wheel side to side constantly to stay in the lane and I drift onto the verge when ever a corner or bend comes around. Has anyone had this issue and have any recommendations?

I have always liked playing in single player on American Truck Simulator because of the ability to use modifications to make the gameplay more enjoyable but when SCS released their version of multiplayer I was a little hesitant to be honest but I tried it and honestly I have really enjoyed it. But then they decided to enhance it by releasing modification support and that is when things really took a turn for the best. Since their release of modification support the enjoyment of playing the game is so much enjoyable. It is nice to be in a lobby or have my own where I can have seven other players driving with me. It is nice to see drivers showing up in their own truck and the modification they have on it. However something that has been brought to my attention is the fact that with various engine sounds you can not hear the other drivers engine in their truck. With this being said I wanted to know if SCS is aware of the situation and what is the current state of progress about this to fix this issue. I know things are new and there are a lot things they are working on however I just wanted to know if anyone from SCS could possibly let me know what the progress is on fixing such issue.

SCS have made it possible to hear each others sounds (albeit slightly restricted), however modders need to update their mods to include these explicit remote sounds.

Having issues with all the coach (vehicle) mods I've tried using my G29. The FFB / centering is pretty broken and doesn't return smoothly at all, and you can't turn the wheel one way to the other without having to push past the 0 degrees point. Not sure if this is an issue with the mod or not.

Seems to be better when I switch back to using a truck, but there's still a deadzone where the wheel centers to, which means turning still isn't as smooth as it should be.

I tested some more and the disturbing effect i described as a deadzone in my previous post could also be described as a slight delay before the centering force kicks in to the opposite direction (while turning the steering wheel to the opposite direction). It's best felt when turning from say 90 degrees left/right to 90 degrees in the oppposite direction without driving in a straight line (0 degrees) between the turns. Trying hard to find the right words to describe this... One way to put it is that it feels like the centering force should be more linear/smooth when changing steering direction. Hopes this makes sense.
Tried setting the 'Internal friction' slider at max (i had this off before). This somewhat irons out the FFB deadzone/delay feel. Still far from perfect, but definitely better. To sum it up, my current setting are:

Overall gain - 100%
Centering at high speed - 100%
Centering at low speed - about 25-30%
Internal friction - 100%
Everything else - 0% for now

This is on a Fanatec CSW2 with wheelbase settings:

Sen - Aut
FF - 100
Dri - Off
For - 100
Spr - Off
Dpr - 100
Bli - Off
Sho - 100
Brf - 50
No improvement on the FFB center deadzone/delay in the latest build from what i noticed. Out of curiosity SCS, is it on the "to-do list"?
I've never done that before, so I'm sure I can do it (Långstrump, Pippi)

In the game.log, there is an entry that says "Ban List", and there seems to be some misinformation floating around as to what this ban list controls. Can any dev comment on this?

Code: Select all

00:00:01.498 : === BAN LIST ===
00:00:01.498 : ================
