Yeah, that is known to more dedicated players but Loutis did not want to show us the math behind it...

@Loutis: or did you? :)

This seems like a strange statement to me. Isn't everything in this game "just data" until someone writes a function to display that data in the game world? Can't this be done for a truck at your garage or on the road?

your drivers are just an algorithm that is running in the background, no physics, no geometry calculations nothing, just he starts here, he needs x hours till he is there, he gets this and that for his "job". log it into his driving book, done.

It's a shame our company trucks don't show up on the highways once in a while. That would add value to the sim.

Tiger313 had it right above. "Sadly, stuff like this isn't on the devs' to-do list." The key word being 'Sadly.' Yep, the devs have more important things to do like 'musical roads.'

The Musical Road is just a custom sound pattern for a strip. Company trucks in traffic means real-time calculations for dozens or hundred of trucks. Apples and oranges....

Apples and oranges yes. I'm just saying that SCS seems to waste a lot of dev time on junk. Steering wheel knobs? That's another important one.

I've seen someone on the blog saying "the sideskirts for 6x2 and 6x4 are very important", so I guess SCS is not the only one with weird priorities. :D
