I would have something to say to that company... "Go spam yourself." [ external image ]

I played ETS2 for a year and a half on a Pentium D with a Radeon HD 4850. You don't need a new computer ;)

After a while I built myself a rig for my rigs for about $400—granted, I got a GTX 660 Ti for free and had an extra SSD and HDD lying around, but still, we're talking $800 all in, and I'm running on nearly maxed-out settings at 1920x1200. It only ever needs to run ETS2 and ATS so I'm pretty fine with that!

Nope. You just need to be realistic with your expectations if you have a lower end computer. There are things lower end computers simply will not do. So if you have one you either need to accept the limitations of that particular system, or save your spare change and buy a better one. You can even do it building up a "bare bones upgrade" like I always do.

If they can't get us content for the PC version within a reasonable amount of time, imagine how awful and painstaking of a wait it would be on a console. My vote is never. At least not by SCS.

I guess it all depends on your description of reasonable and how patient you are. In my opinion, SCS does pretty well. But then again, I've worked at a few places where the programmers took years to get anything done.

AS an avid gamer there are few companies I can think of that have regular updates to games more than a year old. They might not update in the time frames you would like, but they are a head of the majority.

As far as A/ETS going console... I think there's more chance of Axel going Steam. ;)

SCS is equal to Polyphony Digital with Grand Turismo as it's counter part Turn 10 is with Forza on the console. SCS/Polyphony are good at what they do but the development time, is far to long for the content pushed out. Grand Turismo use to rule the racing world on console. Fast forward to today's day and time and it has competitors. Oneday, SCS just may have the same issue. With everything being internet based/accessible, if others see a market for it, others will follow and dip into the cash flow that others started. The bar is always getting pushed with gaming as the years role by.

And that would less than slim to none. So don't hold your breath. Ya might turn funky colors!
