freightliner cascadia

#1 Post by TexasWhirlwind » 07 Oct 2020 18:01

I thought that we were going to get a freightliner cascadia from SCS. Didn't they advertise that a year or two ago. Or did that go to pieces like a lot of things....

Yes they were working on one. Why we don't have it is something that Freightliner would have to answer.

Last I heard, I believe SCS scrapped that model anyway and began working on a new one from scratch for the New Cascadia. That's what I've seen from browsing these forums off and on about that.

Still, it's up to the lawyers to figure this crap out, and without approval, no truck.

That's speculation too, I don't believe SCS have ever commented on whats happened with the models.

SCS never promised the Freightliner Cascadia. On the blog in 2016 where they showed the Freightliner Cascadia, they wrote, "Now comes the time for an explicit disclaimer - any vehicles and truck brands you will see pictured below this point in text are here only for illustrative purposes, and do not constitute any guarantee that they will be appearing in the game in any particular timeframe." When Carthoo showed a work in progress image of the new Freightliner Cascadia, he also made a disclaimer saying that there is no solid guarantee that the truck will be released:

Sometimes it might just take awhile to get something. Sometimes there are bumps in the road but that doesn't mean something is scrapped. Look how long the Man 6 and the Range T just hung out on SCS servers before getting released.

I think the old cascadia model by SCS is quite well done.
Best Regards.

On the recent stream for the Cascadia, Oscar kinda explained enough why the Cascadia took a while to release. But like I said above, sometimes its just takes awhile.
