Re: Is this a bug
Could be a server issue if many people are playing, could be a dodgy net connection.

I'm assuming you don't use any map mods on either profile?
Re: Is this a bug
I am facing the same issue. Status gets synchronized until I want to finish the job. I am unable to finish, but in between the status is synchronized. It's weird. And it's frustrating, as it is job no. 15 ^^
Re: Is this a bug
Okay, seems to be an issue with few cities or routes maybe? I had the problem with a job San Francisco -> Carson City, NV. No way to finish. I cancelled the job and was not able to take a new one in Carson City. It stated for all jobs, that my Truck or Trailer is too long to find a starting position. No matter at which company the job started in Carson City. I now reset to company home in San Francisco and San Fran -> LA job worked perfectly fine and I was able to finish it.
So maybe something wrong in Carson City?

Do you use any map mods? Anything that move the pre-fabs will cause issues with WoT.
