Insufficient buffer size when generating '' icon Error Message

#1 Post by Theosz » 05 Dec 2020 23:29

Hello

I would like help because of the problem title

I just enter the game, I'm on the main screen. Literally, thousands of lines appear with this error message.

What configuration or tips can I do to solve this problem, please? even on the SSD, these thousands of lines causing lag when entering.

TY any tips on advance

The error relates to a gas icon, so it's either a real companies mod or one of your map mods.

Mega Resources is throwing a bunch of other errors, so that could be the problem one.

And at least one of the map mods hasn't been updated for 1.39 (and possibly not for 1.38).
Again it could all be the one mod.

TYVM for the answer @Madkine . I hope that the Mega Resources mod can be fixed ASAP as we will probably have v1.40 only in early February or so.

My surprise is that I am using an SSD, imagine if it was a hard drive. Well, I think I’ll have to pause this profile because it’s a bit complicated to play with this repetitive error

thank you again

These are WARNING messages, not errors. This occurs when using map mods that significantly expand the area beyond the base game and/or having more fuel stations on the map than the base game, it is a hard-coded game limitation. The warnings are generated when zooming in/out on the world map, they do not cause any performance issue while driving. As far as I know there is nothing you can do.

1) yes, you are right when clearing me that are warning messages and not errors messages like I said. TY, but, in my case, for my pc I think lines being written is not good

2) "they do not cause any performance issue while driving"

this afirmation could apply to 99% or 5% but, unhappy, not to (just) me because when the game writes many lines, in range, I can realize the game's slow down, because the game down aways FPS

Oh, I remember a player said the same but he did many tests with many mods that writes just "warning and/or error messages" and did a report of the FPS.

My affirmation is correct but exponential because one or three mods can not be bored but more makes a snowball and is when the players can realize the lags(or not because assumes that is a normal. OMG). He told me that fixes all mods he have and the FPS was increased since that giving a good performance and best gaming, PS - including the errors and the many warnings messages as well

3) I began to thinking that 8GB RAM is not enought to me using mods and can cause some lags as well, but it is another subject.

TY - good gaming

With the sheer number of mods you are using, 16gb or even 32 would greatly enhance your game experience, yes.

As an investigation, you can check the size of the .dds file associated with that .mat file in your buffer warnings.
Two wrongs don't make a right, but three lefts.. do.
