Weigh Station Bypass Probability
I would like to change the probability of being bypassed at a weigh station to 100%. Basically I would like to be given a bypass signal at every weigh station every time. I'm not even sure if this is possible though. If it is possible, does anyone know where the game stores this type of data? I'm also wondering what the best way to implement this into the game would be. Do I just need to decrypt a file and change some values, or would it be better to make this by creating a mod?

@supersobes: Try taking a look at the "trigger_action.sii" file in the def/world directory.
You'll need to extract the def.scs file with the Extractor Tool to get at it.
There is a section marked "trig_action.weigh" which appears to determine how often you'll get asked to pull in for a weigh check.
The default setting is 0.6 (60%).

@supersobes
any news on this? i think weigh station turn on/off option should be in the gameplay settings.

@ferdcasx I haven't had a chance to revisit this topic or look into this yet. Hopefully I will sometime this week. I do appreciate @KrysEmlyn's reply though.
Re: Weigh Station Bypass Probability
I made a mod that does a similar thing but reduces the probability to 20%. It also silences the weighpass beeps.

Simply editing the trigger file from 0.6 to 0.0 might cause a problem depending on how the calculation is made in-game.

If you suck at playing the trumpet, that's probably why.

Re: Weigh Station Bypass Probability
Is that a 20% chance to be called in, or 20% change to bypass?
Re: Weigh Station Bypass Probability
@bobgrey1997 20% chance of being called in. But it rolls that dice every time.

Re: Weigh Station Bypass Probability
I put this off some more because I didn't want to mess with mods during the beta. Now that 1.40 is officially out of beta, I decided to work on this now. I changed the probability to zero in "trigger_action.sii," and it seems to be working. I did a few test drives past some weigh stations, and I didn't get called into any of them! Thanks for your help, @KrysEmlyn!
@room217au From the test runs I did, it doesn't seem that changing the value to zero breaks the game in any way. I'll definitely keep watching out for problems the more I drive with the mod I just made, but it seems to be working for now.

@supersobes Yeah, I don't mind visiting the 'bridges, just not as much as what SCS want me to

Will that mod become public?supersobes wrote: ↑28 Mar 2021 20:11I'll definitely keep watching out for problems the more I drive with the mod I just made, but it seems to be working for now.
