What to look for a new PC
Hey. First off I apologize if this is not in the right place, wasn't to sure where to put it.
I'm currently looking at upgrading my computer, Most importantly I'd like to get the best out of this game, honestly because it's the one I'll playing the most, but also give the flexibility to branch out and play some more recent games. I've currently
been playing on an HP Envy beats notebook, not too sure the exact specs off the top of my head tbh.
So just wanting to ask what I should look for, I know I'm after about 16GB of Ram and probably an Intel i5 or whatever AMDs equivalent is. I'm probably looking mid range, but what specs should I look for or look to avoid.

Hello
Guess what, was in the same situation like you...
Long search, waited for AMD that they bring something out... They didn't.
So I looked at team blue and I am happy now since three years with my 17" HP omen i7 9750 h with rtx 2070 and 16gb ram...
Everything maxed out in the graphics .. The other settings like hdr and all that 80% maxed out in the settings but depends on how much mods youll run.
But shortly sayed... Don't save at the wrong end mate..
Sad times with corona current but at least here every shop make offers like - 50% so maybe you'll be lucky at hunting, maybe you'll shoot you something good
Current games
Ets2, ats, snowrunner and far cry 5 + new dawn. Everything runs perfect

Re: What to look for a new PC
Thank you both for your quick responses, I'm almost there, just have a few i's to dot and t's to cross and I'll be on my way.
The system I am almost going with is
AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with the RTX 2070 and 16GB of ram. I wish we had good sales down here... but I do get a free mouse pad

Re: What to look for a new PC
Intel is launching its Rocket Lake processors in March. Given current market conditions and stock availability I hate giving anyone advice to wait, but...

You can opt in for some SSD or even NVMe if your motherboard supports it
Too bad Intel is changing socket by each generation, Rocket Lake is bacward compatible with 400-series MBs (caveats apply)

Hmmm "blistering 5.3 GHz (+) clock speeds" (i9-11900)

Oh I wasn't advising him to get a RL CPU, rather that this will most likely have some effect on pricing of current and last gen chips (assuming their continued availability).

The 11th gen will share the same 10th gen socket, LGA 1200Hmmm "blistering 5.3 GHz (+) clock speeds" (i9-11900)

Re: What to look for a new PC
Well I've had my new PC for about a week, the whole game looks so beautiful, it looked great on my old PC, but the Graphics card was so out dated.... all this detail and prettiness I was missing.
CPU AMD Ryzen 5 3600
GPU RTX 2070
RAM Capacity 16 GB
Why didn't I do this sooner?
