SCS PB 389 Rear cab lights
SCS PB 389 Rear cab lights
I have noticed that the lights on the back of the Peterbilt 389 low roof sleeper and the large sleeper do not work at all. Are these just reflectors?

Ah, the Utility Light. Honestly, we don't need them to work, because they are there so you can see what you are doing with the load (or in the case of vans, your cables). We are not able to engage with any of that in the game, so a light to help us do so isn't exactly necessary.
I don't even use them in reality.

Have them on while driving?
Isn't that... illegal?

Re: SCS PB 389 Rear cab lights
They have a red dome on them so I assumed they were like any other rear marker lights. Been spending a lot of time in the PB389 and different cab styles and wondered why these lights do not work on either sleeper variant. The largest sleeper has 6 of them that do not appear to work. Here is a pic of the 4 lights across the back of the flat top. They have a red dome so I thought they were just a marker light, like a tail light would be.

Don't believe so. I'm sure you have seen lots of trucks, since you are a driver, that have red back of cab lighting going down the road?
I have never seen the police pull over a driver for having those on back when I was driving. Now if they were some different color say like blue then there would be an issue.

Ah, a red one. I've seen a few of those. Not sure what those lights actually are, but a "load light" or "utility light" is white, not red, and is very bright (sometimes brighter than the headlights), and are illegal to have on while driving. In fact, such utility lights automatically turn off once the truck is in motion.
Re: SCS PB 389 Rear cab lights
By default from the factory they are white. A lot of people swap them out for red and run the utility/load lights at night. There is a dedicated switch inside the cab to turn these on and off.
