paintable wheel bug

#1 Post by Llewelyn » 20 Aug 2017 09:51

Something I've been meaning to comment on for ages:

Paintable rear wheels have a fault. If you pick a color for front wheels, and save it as a preset in the color picker, you can then paint hub covers, nuts etc all matching color. Except the rear wheels (but not rear wheel hub covers, hubs etc.) come out noticeably lighter color. The only way around it is to paint the hub cover first, then adjust the wheel color darker to match and save a second preset for the rear wheels.

I had thought this was just me/my monitor/the angle of the light or something, but then on 50keda's paintable wheels, the rear ones are the same color as the front when painted with the same preset so this is definitely an issue with the stock paintable wheels.

I think it depends on the type of rim you select http://imgur.com/a/I2D45, but whether is a bug or not, you know who decides.
