FPS cut in half ?[Solved]

#1 Post by Toxic774 » 20 Feb 2021 18:49

Turn ON fast sync in nvidia control pannel/turn off in game v sync.

Hello all! I'm having a weird issue with ATS, but first my PC

Rtx 2060 6gb
Ryzen 5 3600
16 gb of ram
game is installed on m2.

Settings: 1440p ultra settings 200/300% scalling.

So heres my problem, for some reason im getting weird drops from 75 fps to 37, mostly when looking inside cabin at the GPS. Happens around cars as well. When i turn of V sync either in nvidia panel or in game it's ok but i get screen tearing. When i set scalling to 400% it goes to 37 fps, when i set to 300% i get 75 fps but then when i look at the gps it goes down to 37, when i set to 200% i get pretty much 75 fps but with drops around cars. I get a feeling that V sync is at problem but i never had any issues with other games, game never dropped to 37 and stayed like that(unless i looked outside cab) I am playing on 1.40 open beta(without mods).

Have you tried to select V-sync to 'fast' in nVidia control panel? It did help me in Farming Simulator to get decent fps without massive tearing.

Try these settings

-mm_max_resource_size 40 -mm_max_tmp_buffers_size 500

How to use
1) Open the developer console in-game and type them directly. You will need to do this each time you play.
2) If you're a Steam user you can add them to your Launch Options by right-clicking the game in your Library, selecting "Settings" and then click the "Launch Options" button. This means the parameters are automatically included each time you play.
