[Linux] Minimap corrupted/glitched since switching to a new GPU

#1 Post by cloudpixel » 24 Oct 2021 01:38

I've been having a bug recently where certain sections of my minimap show up in the wrong position ever since I bought a new GPU, installed the drivers, then tried to play ATS with it as usual.
I made sure to completely uninstall the drivers for my old GPU and make sure I had the latest ones for my new one as the old GPU is an Nvidia card while the new one is AMD.

The system I've been running the game on has:
CPU: Intel Core i5 10400
RAM: 16GB DDR4 @ 3200Mhz
New GPU: Radeon RX 6700 XT
Old GPU: GTX 750Ti
OS: Arch Linux

Try verifying your game files.
In Steam, right click on the game, select properties, goto local files tab and press verify integrity of game files.

If that doesn't work post your game.log.txt to pastebin.com (no account needed) and then post the link here and we'll have a look for you.
The file can be found at "C:\Users\*USERNAME*\Documents\American Truck Simulator" for a default install.

Also screenshots are useful to show the problem.

Yes, my minimap looks exactly like this. I see you're also running an AMD graphics card. Maybe it's just an AMD specific bug that SCS needs to fix?

I already verified my game files, didn't work. Here's the pastebin and an image like you asked for though.

And here's my game's log file. https://pastebin.com/U4kBG100

The problem seems to be fixed for me by switching to mesa-git.
