Game crash detected

#1 Post by Rodders 61 » 02 Dec 2021 10:14

Hi,
On tuesday i wanted to see about external contracts and created an online account. Now i have to log in each time but i want to get back to just clicking continue game and can't find any way to get out of it. This morning i log in and it says there is a game crash possibly due to mods but i have no mods installed at all. I also get periodic messages about changes to my memory being blocked. I launce via steam and direct x 11.
I just want to get back to just 'continue game'.
Can anyone help,
Thanks,
Rodders.

Launch the game,
go to edit profile
enter your WOT password and tick the save/remember password button

The messages about memory are worrying, either the memory in your machine is dying or you've told the game you have more memory than you actually do.

Can you provide a gamelog?

Post your game.log.txt to pastebin.com (no account needed) and then post the link here and we'll have a look for you.
The file can be found at "C:\Users\*USERNAME*\Documents\American Truck Simulator" for a default install.

With 4 Gb memory installed it is a bit on the low side
Also your 9400 cpu is not among the best for games which single core

Please note! The game log is not from a crash, you have 2 hours of normal game play without issues and then a normal shutdown

Hi,
Thanks. I have 40gb of memory in the pc and it's a dual core as well. I seem to only have the problem when launching from steam in directx 11. Would it be better to launch from the desktop icon? Forgive me i'm not a computer expert.
Cheers,
Rodders.

@plykkegaard You missed a digit on the ram count.

@Rodders 61 Unfortunately there's nothing helpful in the log file (at least for me). DX11 is the best option for launching.
Did saving the password work?

40 Gb is a very unusual number for the amunt of memory installed
Should be 48, 36 or 32 (or less)
I would paired sticks either by 4 or 2, same timingst at least

Hi, Yes thanks the password save helped. I also verified the game again and haven't had an error message since,

Yes I assumed that much, but different memory sticks is not the best solution even if paired two and two
You could remove the old 4Gb sticks and continue with 32 Gb which will be more than adequate
