Why are there no CB Radios?

#1 Post by M_Diesel » 24 Aug 2017 18:07

Please try to have an in game chat system with a realistic CB radio with channels and realistic sounds, it would make the game a lot better than it already is!

That would make sense only if random accidents/events would happen on the map. Until then you can use multiplayer mod+some guys/gals on discord/teamspeak if you find this feature crucial for your gameplay experience.

One of my Twitch friends, I moderate on his channel, was streaming the game and happened upon a truck on its side. Traffic was held up, and congested, and the local LEOs were on the scene. Is that incidence not supposed to randomly happen in the game?

Same with the trucks on the shoulder of Grapevine on I-5 heading North north of LA. There's always a truck broke down before you get to the top. Sometimes a cop is there with it and sometimes not. Get somebody out there and fix it.

There is one in the multi player community. I don't use it but I believe it's third party. I have seen people use the A.S.P. Controller that use a cb. I just purchased the A.S.P. Controller via Csio website myself but without the cb option. I don't play multiplayer so no need for me.

The most simple anwser is: the devs hate the 'cb radio' feature ther e is no real reason why it hasnt been implemented in ats yet sadly.

May be they don't want players to talk to themselves all alone not to slap their loneliness to their faces? You know this is a single player game with no real persons to talk to.

Multiplayer mod has already their own CB, so we are talking about here :D

All the other trucking games from SCS had CB radios and atleast you could listen to them while you were in your truck. It broke the silence of nothing but engine sound and road noise.. The CB made you feel like you were actually driving in a real truck.. Instead of the constant boredom that you get now..
