uset g_income_factor doesn't change income

#1 Post by crow357 » 14 Nov 2017 18:22

So, in the preview_config.cfg file there is a line called: uset g_income_factor. I have tried changing various values in it, but it seems to make no difference to the amount of money earned on the jobs. I tried with a new profile as well. Is there another place that controls the job income?

The higher value you can use on this line is 1, that correspond to 100% of income

Optionally you can decrease only using values from 0.01 to 0.99

You can't increase the income setting it to 2 or 3

Well, crap, ok. Guess I'm doing something wrong. Tried values between 1 and 0.01. No changes. I'll keep at it, thanks Tarso!

last time i used it was working well, remember to re open the market after aplying the command, so the game will offer you less money for the cargoes

Figured it out. It does work. Just not for quick jobs. :)

Probably needs an economy reset, either sleep a few times to clear the old jobs, or g_force_economy_reset 1 (then back to 0)
Problem with this is it only lowers income, it doesn't change loans, fuel cost, ferry costs (ETS2), if you get an economy mod they can change all these giving a slower progression, no more $25/mile jobs (where do I get these in real life?)

I'd imagine truckers in US would be paid from something like $0.80 per mile?

@marcf the reset economy parameter no more need to be changed back to 0, now it is auto reseted by the game after applying.

Lowering the income and lowering also the fines and fuel price will put you only in lower numbers but the same equivalence depending on how you(the mod) set the values.

Reducing income to 0.2 and keeping the costs the same, will make you pay attention to avoid the next possible fine, i guarantee you, is the easiest way and also the safer for the ones playing vanilla.

only newly generated jobs are affected, sleep or economy reset are necessary.

fuel cost and ferry cost are real. trucks and garages cost are close to real.
loans, insurance and similar are not.
Nobody can tell you anything about it. Those who know about it aren't allowed to talk. And those who talk know nothing.
