@B787 There’s one more thing I can think of, and couldn’t see any mention of it. Your clutch settings.
There are TWO sliders in the controls settings, one for a “dead zone”, I believe this one is the point at which the clutch starts to disengage. Mine is set pretty close to minimum, so if I rest my foot on the pedal it doesn’t slip the clutch. The second slider is the “range” of the pedal/clutch. This should be MAXIMUM to get the best clutch control.
Have you checked these settings?

Yes, I checked these settings.

Of course is it an option to avoid those hills but sometimes you must also stop on a hill if you leave the Highway... same procedure there :D

One of the most important things I know about those hills, is it is highly important to get your front wheels onto the bit where it just starts to flatten but is before the cross street

I usually start in LL or "grannie gear." Pretty much the only time I use it, unless moving something really heavy or crawling through a yard. San Francisco can be tough!

Well, a 10 speed gearbox does not have LL ;)

Ah yes. I was thinking of a 13. Might have to serpentine back to a service shop, lol!
