A newbie question about engine sounds

I am nearing the opportunity to buy my first truck. It seems to me that the truck engine sounds in the company trucks aren't very good.

Do each of the engines you purchase with your new truck have a different sound? Such as Cat, Cummings, Detroit etc.?

I just purchased ATS a week ago and an upgrade is nearly here. My research via the forums seems to indicate that sound mods will have to be updated for the 1.40 version. So I will probably wait a bit. Thanks for the reply. I will certainly keep this in mind. I have not downloaded any mods so it will take some research so that I can do it correctly. Thanks again.

Everything I've seen and read says that sound mods are not affected by 1.40 and won't need to be updated. Pretty much all other mods are affected.
