pimp my truck achievement (Solved)

Can anyone explain how to get the "Pimp My Truck" achievement ??
When I upgraded my truck I applied the custom paint job " Hunting Season" for $20,000 and thought that would be but I didn't get the achievement.
I have since applied a Metallic Blue paint but that doesn't work either. Can anyone advise me ??

You need to apply a custom metallic paint at a repair centre. (You can't use a stock metallic paintjob.)

OK, thanks for that. Does this mean I have to create a paint job to stick on the truck using blender etc. ??

I have been to the store and downloaded the "Simple Logistics" paint job. I have been in the repair shop and applied the paint and it looks ok but I still don't get the achievement, Where have I gone wrong ??

You have several metallic paint schemes on which you can apply different colorings

I am at a complete loss here. I have followed (I think) each piece of advice I have received but I still have no achievement registered. It is much easier in ETS2 where you buy the skin you want and then apply it the repair shop.

One thing you haven't done it appears, at least to me, is going to a repair center, go into truck customization. Now go to the paint section. Click "Custom Metallic Paint." No need to go into Blender or anything like that.

Apply 3 colors and buy.

3rd party skins are not going to unlock the achievement, nor will using the game generated selectable metallic paints.

Sorry about that, I don't know why it didn't work.
I will need to start a new thread as I have just lost my ATS installation after installing New Mexico dlc.
