Wishlists Megathread
Re: Wishlists Megathread
Stopping just anywhere to rest is not as realistic as it used to be.
In a world full of swift drivers, I'm an O/O.
Re: Wishlists Megathread
+1
I'd like this to be implemented as follows:
1) An option to move the driver into the sleeper in a lying down position.
2) Upon moving into the sleeper they get the standard route advisor rest prompt (the one normally only visible when you drive to a proper truck rest stop). The player can then either choose to rest or just leave the player in the sleeper and leave the game run (something I would often do).
3) When you trigger the standard sleep option (whether from a sleeper or by going to a truck rest area), the player should be given a slider to select the sleep duration (something very realistic).

an alarm clock would be an absolutely amazing option. either turn it on to a certain time or just leave it off.
Re: Wishlists Megathread
I would like 57 foot trailers more chrome options and add-ons for rigs & trailers and also older model trucks or different model rigs such as he Pete 567 the most..oh and ownable tankers! Just my little bucket list.. i mostly want the more chrome and tankers though.. Oh edit.. i forgot i would also like engines to be sound specific and not the rig itself.. would be nice to have the sound you prefer in game

Re: Wishlists Megathread
@Texshi Check this link out. I posted a pic from the Rand McNally that list all the states that allow longer than the 53' trailer. I know I made a request to get 57' trailers with the Texas DLC. Texas doesn't do lcv's standard. Which includes b-doubles, turnpikes, rmd's and triples. SCS now uses this same book so hopefully they have viewed this page.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

If they use that book they certainly should've noted 57s.. and with Texas a huge state in it's infancy by now.. something has to give? I mean it's also probably not much dev time to just extend the trailer a slight bit more? hmm Hopefully!

Re: Wishlists Megathread
Hi there guys, I have a possible suggestion for the initial startup interface (for both ATS and ETS2, since it's the same for both) - a 'Skip Sign-In' or 'Continue in offline mode' button on the Signing-in screen if your profile is connected to World of Trucks, something like these mockups perhaps:

The reason I think this is a good idea would be to help out people with slower internet - on my previous internet connection, I would constantly get stuck at this screen for my connected profile, either having to cancel over and over (with about a 10% chance of it randomly going ahead with loading my profile) or restart the game and immediately try to load the profile to increase my odds of it actually loading. Now that my internet is better I don't encounter this anymore, but back then it was a frequent roadblock to playing the game on my WoT-connected profiles.
Another reason is that I think it could be relatively simple to implement - mainly because if playing with no internet connection at all, the game already gives a button to skip the sign-in on the screen shown below, serving this exact purpose.

So I feel that it could be simple enough to put a similar button on the main sign-in window that does the same thing, so users can skip the sign in if it's taking too long on a weak internet connection.
(I did search the forum and saw some posts saying similar issues could also be firewall related, but might still be handy for users that might take a while to realise that)

Re: Wishlists Megathread
Honestly, I have only seen 1 57' trailer on Texas roads during commute. So I'm not sure how common they actually are.

Are 57' still legal in Texas?
Re: Wishlists Megathread
Its still posted in the Rand McNally for 2019. I don't have a 2020 though.
