Wishlists Megathread
Re: Wishlists Megathread
SCS I miss 2 things from the old Hard Truck:
1. Actually be pulled over by the police instead of what we have now (a siren and money drawn when you are still moving).
2. Be able to sleep everywhere and have more control over sleeping (be able to choose how long to sleep).
Please SCS put that back in ETS 2 and ATS.

2. Activate the dev console and you can sleep anywhere as long as you like

@Trucker_71 how exactly? I know you can advance time, but the fatigue will increase too... So how exactly can you sleep for some time with the amount of fatigue decreasing at the same time?

Turn off fatigue.
I hate driving in the dark in this game so I set the time for morning before I start a trip, it doesn't matter in WoT.

@Trucker_71 You can turn off fatigue in the game options.
Options > Gameplay > Fatigue simulation.
Options > Gameplay > Fatigue simulation.

Re: Wishlists Megathread
@Digital X I already have fatigue turned off and use the console to adjust the time.

Deffinetly better physics and a more realistic interaction in the game world. Sounds and physics are the heart of the game, I think.
More realistic brakes. When braking, the truck comes to a full stop even if you release the pedal while the truck is still rolling.
Cab suspension (gotta love how a cab shake when taking off loaded)
Chassis twist to reflect engine torque (or the cabin can be made to move to simulate engine torque)
I like this game, but it lacks inmersion. Trucks need more 'character', they're just beautiful showponnies. Old school, second hand trucks could have some damage on them in order to hide the brand (to avoid licencing issues). For example a smashed grill or a damaged steering wheel with a missing truck logo. A cracked windshield perhaps?
Instead of driving to a big floating cube, the player could be required to park as close as possible to the dispatcher booth and wind down the window and then press a key to bring up a dialog window or something (like in flight simulator). Or maybe park the truck out of the way and actually walk to the office, as in real life.
Over all it's a good game with beautiful graphics.

[External Contracts/Market] Speed Limit
I really in doubt why not to increase [external contracts/market] speed limit to 70 mph (instead of 65 mph)?
It seems reasonable and up to date now (since we have a lot of highways [I-15, I-25, I-40, I-80, I-84 etc.] that allow 70-80 mph).

@hyperlink, that's the reason I won't run WOT specials.... the speed limit is 65 and they won't raise it.
I also have Fatigue turned off. And I hate driving at nigh too. I have the extended delivery time mod so I'll drive into late evening and "sleep" 5 or 10 hours and continue on. What would be nice to see is the 70 hour work week with a mandatory 24 hour period off duty. I can be do it in ATS but only by hitting Enter 3 times for 15 hours of "sleep". The forth time tells you you are not sleepy anymore, so you don't get the 24 hours off.

I've hauled ass down the road to deliver new cars and trucks, fuel, freight, and produce. Now I'm addicted to ATS doing the same thing in a simulation.

Myself, I like the 65 mph in WoT jobs. You usually have a lot more time to get the job done on a WoT job as long as you look at how much time is left to get it done (real time, not game time) when you pick the job. So there is no rush and can enjoy some of the new scenery in the newer maps without having to worry about a late delivery. Even if you don't want to scenery watch or explore while on the job, it is a nice change of pace for me (slower). But I also don't mind the California 55 mph law most of the time....
