Re: Wishlists Megathread
Most companies in the States do govern their trucks for 68 or 65mph, sometimes 62 and very rarely 70 or above. They get an insurance break for doing it and many also believe that this plus all the stupid sensors on the truck will save lives, rather than just teaching drivers to pay attention.

@RossoRacer All the mega carriers are self insured so they already get a break just for being self insured as they cut out the middle man.
Reasons for governing a truck is to keep the steering wheel holders from running 70 plus mph as they can't drive good at 65, what do you expect they will do at 70.

US 14
Would you folks please consider running From Denver, I 25 North to US 14 (Ft Collins , Colorado) West to 287 North past Virginia Dale, to Laramie, Wyoming. Thats a popular truck route and shorter for trucks pulling loads out of Denver, Colorado To Example. Laramie, Wyoming, Salt Lake City or the Pacific North West. Cut off about 185 miles IRL.
I 70 West out of Denver, Colorado to the tunnel, US 6 west over the top of Loveland Pass to I 70 West west side of the Tunnel. Restricted Hazmat, over 13 ft 6 inches, Oversize and HH Loads. Loveland Pass is the only location in the lower 48 states that has Tundera. Sight to behold..13,000 ft Plus
Not sure if there is room on the map considering scale.
Thank You for your Consideration.
Have A Great Day.

If your playing single player then why cap the speed limit in WOT? Capped speed limit at 65mph isn't for me because of the time given to deliver the load. Now if it was set at the maximum highway speed limit, that's different story. Last I ran WOT you could go thru a town with their speed limit of 25 or 30mph and do 65. Doesn't make sense to me.
IRL I've seen accidents where the truck speed limit was set 5 or 10mph below the car speed limit. That's during the daylight hours, and especially at night cars or pickup trucks would rear end the trailer from drivers not paying attention, and they usually died.

I've hauled ass down the road to deliver new cars and trucks, fuel, freight, and produce. Now I'm addicted to ATS doing the same thing in a simulation.

@GT182 In WoT you have "real time" to deliver, that's the time in blue. Could be up to 24 hours real time.
Re: Wishlists Megathread
I think that by now, we could have a more realistic approach to how you slide you tandems in ATS... SCS needs to add a mechanism that enables us to do that in-game manually (Retract the pins, apply trailer brake, move forward or backwards depending on which direction you want your tandems to go, release the pins again and move a bit to lock them back up... That would make the game a lot more realistic)

Re: Wishlists Megathread
There are way too many gameplay improvements like this waiting to happen, 55sixxx. SCS Software is using most resources on 3D assets (trucks, trailers, cargoes, assets for the maps). Their programming department has been busy with upgrading visual engine (and they did great job with lighting, surely) and map editor (many improvements there as well over the past few years). Other than that, the only gameplay improvements we've seen so far are random events and special cargo, none of which work in WoT that hasn't been evolving as well. So yeah, good luck waiting!
Have a mature suggestion to improve American Truck Simulator? Fahgettaboudit!
Re: Wishlists Megathread
I wish that we have the cheap white steel rims available for trailers and trucks, the current ones are like metal finish I think the white painted ones would be a realistic and great addition.
I think IRL they are more comon than the currently greyish in game.(At least for the semitrailers they are super comon).

And for the owners of the wheels tunning pack maybe the addition of a paintable version of the simple steel rims, but without the metalic finish look.
Greetings

Re: Wishlists Megathread
Steel rims are the first item on the wheels list. (?)
Re: Wishlists Megathread
If i remember correctly, currently we have steel rims(metal finish in greyish colour), but we don't have the white colour steel rims (without metal finish, painted finish) and colourable steel rims (For the Wheel tuning pack)
