Yeah, I think having fixed slots where trucks and trailers can go and be seen visibly would also be an improvement of the current design. Would be really nice pulling up to a garage and seeing my trucks in the garage bays.

Definitely. I like to see my collection as well. The game already keeps track of this stuff. If there can be 10+ trucks spawned on a truck stop, surely the game can spawn 5 trucks with trailers if our setups are defined in the game already.

Same reason as with hired drivers: because of performance reasons, can't show high detail trucks. Low detail trucks (like the AI's), however, don't have accessory customizations. Now if someone waves jazzycat's tuned truck mod at me, I say fps. It just won't work without compromises, that's a path SCS don't want to follow.

After looking at the current in-game ai "PostEd" mail delivery trucks, I'm wondering if here's an opportunity for SCS to expand the job industry a bit more. I think it would be awesome if SCS created a job industry for us to deliver "PostEd" trailers to various mail warehouse processing centers, airports, etc. A few updates ago, ownable insulated trailers (and I think dry-van trailers too) received a few door modifications. See below for examples:

Both of these door configurations are very common on mail carrier trailers. Since these door configurations are already in-game, I imagine the trailer creations for deliveries and ai trucks shouldn't be too complicated. Now, I'm not as familiar with the mail industry so much- perhaps someone can further elaborate on how the mail industry framework is managed?

On another note, I came across the aero trailer wings. I'd be curious to know if SCS intends on adding this feature to deliverable box trailers and ai trailers? I'd love to see this added for more ai traffic and trailer diversity.

I would like to see a way to import Podcasts RSS feeds. Yes I do enjoy the radio and the ability to use MP3 files, but with the growth of podcasting it would be great to be able to lsiten to them via the truck while driving.

@StClinton I listen to podcasts and radio stations all the time while I'm in the game. My web browser works perfectly for that. The bonus is that since I have something else running I can pause the game and ALT-TAB to the browser and desktop. If you have nothing but the game running, ALT-TAB doesn't work. Today's computers are designed to run more than one thing at a time.

Alt-Tab doesn't work for me; I have to use Ctrl-Alt-Del and then task manager to be able to do other things. But I don't listen to radio stations anyway. I used to listen to my own MP3 files that I put in the music folder of ATS, but I even don't listen to my own music anymore. I just listen to the sound of the engine, AI traffic, ambient sounds, etc.

@Vinnie Terranova Open notepad and minimize it then open the game, I bet your ALT-Tab will work.

have you tried activating the steam overlay, then try to alt + tab (or control + esc) ? It works here.

There is a trick though. Assign Alt key to quick load/save option. the game will automatically pause while opening the load game section.
