There is actually a way to do this already. You have to open up the save files and decrypt the one called game.sii. Copy and paste the corresponding values for the information you want to transfer from the old profile to the new profile. Then you have to encrypt the SII file so the game can read it again.

Decrypting and encrypting files sounds a bit intimidating to me. I'm sure I could find a way to screw it up and lose everything. Is there a user friendly program to that with?

Yeah, there's lots of save editor tools. Here is the thread for the one that I have used. It's pretty easy; the program does most of the hard work for you.

Didn't check myself but a guy took a screenshot without mods and we have a foggy weater. So can we have fog lights now? We just need a button for assign and it won't be a cosmetic anymore.

Well the blogs for both ATS and ETS2 showed foggy weather already. So definitely no mods with this new lighting system. I think a lot of people are expecting functional fog lights at some point.

Hopefully they are optional if they come. I personally could careless for fog lights myself.

I'll assume you'll be able to turn them on through the light menu on F4 like eg alternate top head lights

I don't see why they wouldn't be optional honestly. I honestly don't care if we get them or not either but they do make the truck look more aggressive when you have a lower valance with the fog in them. I like the look but I don't have to have them. Will the fog lights actually work is my question. Will they cut thru the fog and allow a trucker to see at least a little further up the road. If they are just a shiny new toy, that is one thing. But if SCS can get functionality out of them, that is where the joy comes in.

I hope the SCS will fix the weather. The fact that it starts raining only after loading the game looks strange.

Weather needs to become a entity

That's when we can really get some neat stuff. Weather forecast, radar, You can drive out of a storm and you could drive back in.

Seeing weather in the distance..........now that would be cool. That would be realistic for sure. That'll be the day Texas freezes over..........wait, it did already, lol. I'm not sure we'll get that lucky tough to see distant weather. I'd love to see weather affect the roads though. Like puddling of water on the roads or more saturation of water accumulating on the roads. For off roading to mines, quarris, farms, logging camps have mud and puddles in the mud. A good reason to bring dirt to trucks for sure but with good weather, we need good mud. Take a page or two from Mudrunner or Snowrunner.
