Usually, they're just pulled by 4x2 day cabs.

I voted yes, because more trailers is always a wellcomed option.
Sure, I guess SCS would have to implement 4x2 trucks first, which already makes sense, because doubles... ;)
The smallest details always make the biggest difference.

I downloaded the beverage trailers last year and pulled them with my w900 day cab. Delivers to gas stations and grocery stores are great for these. Feasible with the w900 but a 4x2 is what pulls them normally as stated. I agree with Wolfi, that 4x2 for doubles would make since as well as these trailers. XXXX has made 4x2 mods for doubles. They do look good. viewtopic.php?f=207&t=244707

I am for them. More trailer variety is good. More trucks are okay as well but states and trailers is what I want the most.

Bottled water companies use them too. I also saw a truck with that style trailer body on it deliver propane tanks for BBQ grills to Home Depot here in New Castle last week.

I bit OT: One type of truck not seen in ATS is the box trucks like the ones you can rent from Penske. 20 box with the rear lift used for deliveries where a truck and trailer can't go..

I hope SCS would make it so these trailers would not be available for long haul... One thing I very much did not like back during 18 WOS days.
Don't know how far companies would take these trailers.

But most definitely need multi drop feature for this type of trailer.

They’re also useful for carrying propane tanks (like what you would use for a barbecue or a portable propane fired heater) as well

The thing is that the beverage trailer that was converted from 18WoS is not an "over the road" trailer. It's for local deliveries only. For over the road regular 96"x48' and the 102"x53' trailers are used. Mainly the 102"x53' trailers now. By reefer or dry van. With company name or not.

With dry vans in the winter the truck was always left running. That kept the bottles from freezing because of the vibration from the truck's engine. That's what the company my dad drove for up in the North Country of New York when the temperature went below 32 degrees.... and even lower minus zero numbers. Even down the to minus 30s. It worked great as long as the truck didn't run out of fuel.

I mention that above Nater. ;)
