24.5 rims
24.5 rims
You know, SCS has been doing so much lately to make the game more realistic and it is awesome but hear me out... 24.5 rims. lot's of trucks still run them, heck I even run them IRL. Just imagine it, a 389, Kenwooper or better yet a 49X with 24.5 rims in game. I know you can get mods that have them but, I would like to see them in my No Mods profile even on MP. TBH the 22.5 rims look a little funky on a truck with a Hi rise sleeper, the w900 looks really weird with them IMO. So SCS please just consider this as a little addon for the future. I'm sure a lot of people would agree.

Re: 24.5 rims
I agree! I run 24.5's as well.
Re: 24.5 rims
I would like to see 24.5 inch rims as well. I think you can run at lower RPM’s with taller rims and tires, but I wonder if this makes hitching to certain types of trailers impossible. In ETS2, it was impossible to slide under most trailers with advanced attachment enabled when the tractor is equipped with 365/80 tires from the Michelin pack.
Is it possible to adjust the landing gear so that you can hitch to any trailer in the event your tractor sits taller? Would you also need ramps on the end of the truck chassis?

Re: 24.5 rims
Only if the numb nut dropped the trailer too low.
Doesn't lower the rpms by much but it can make a difference.
24.5s don't wear as fast as 22.5s.

Re: 24.5 rims
That's true, I didn't even think about that, if SCS does release 24.5's they're gonna have to find a solution to the trailers sitting a little bit lower. Either way it's not impossible to do, and I'm sure alot of people will run them in-game.
Re: 24.5 rims
What about 24.5 inch rims for trailers as well?
Re: 24.5 rims
Wouldn’t that require your speedometer to be recalibrated to avoid inaccuracy problems because bigger tires rotate slower than smaller ones at a certain engine speed? For example, 295/7-5/R22.5 tires rotate at 505 revolutions per mile, while the same tire with a radius of 24.5 inches (but leaving width and tire aspect ratio unchanged) rotates slower at 481 revolutions per mile, after comparing the two on various tire comparison websites.

@nater6540 All you have to do is change tire size in the ecm.
