Speaking of booths on the larger company prefabs, it would be nice if the entry points to the Port of Seattle, Port of Tacoma, and the Denver railyard were more interactive than they currently are.
The two ports have a series of lanes with devices next to them for the truckers do check-ins with, but you can simply just drive through it all.
The Denver railyard has a series of gates and check-in terminals, but there is no need to stop at the terminals because the gates open on approach and let you through.

To be honest, if SCS went thru the trouble to add a booth...use it. It should be a check in just like in real life. Make it optional for those that want to skip check in though. If there are tolls that basically halt you so that you can pay, I don't see why we can't check in with at the guard booth. Adds to the immersion imo.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

I once said a long time ago that the gates should be opened after check-in. I mean the warehouses in Oregon and Washington, where the gate operates.

At least make the trigger point a rectangle covering the entire width of the entrance, instead of this stupid little square that forces you to not be able to line up your turn properly.

they can also make it rectangular instead of square box. so whenenever you enter there all the options can be reachable.
