Trailer air supply
I think we should get the option to use the trailer air supply separately from the parking brake. People who have button boxes or want to map it to their keyboard can get the ability to do so. You can put the option in as secondary so it’s not required like the parking brake but can still be mapped if someone wanted to. This would enhance the driving experience and make the game even more realistic.
Re: Trailer air supply
What do you mean? I didn’t realize the trailer’s air supply is for anything besides its brakes.
Re: Trailer air supply
When you park the trailer and disconnect it from the semi, you need to lock the trailer brakes to keep it from moving. Also you sometimes need to adjust the trailer wheel location by unlocking them from the trailer while brakes are on and move the semi and slide the axles of the trailer to change the weight distrubution of the load from axles of the semi to trailer axles or vice versa. Rİght now this is done in trailer purchasing screen with changing the configuration however in real life it is done on the trailer. there is no option rihgt now to activate that brake.
Also this weight distribution should be shown on axles so that you should be able to adjust it maybe in an in game menu, not moving the semi like explained, to increase realism.

Re: Trailer air supply
Actually most trucks have a johnny bar that we use to slide tandems with. Bascially it uses the trailer brakes themselves versus the trailer parking brake.
Re: Trailer air supply
except that trailers with spring brakes use that as the parking. Sooo, leaving trailer parking brake applied accomplishes the same thing as using the Johnson bar. Hence, the request to have the truck and trailer parking mapped to seperate keys.
Keep the rubber side down and the shiny side up.

Ah, ok you mean for sliding the tandems. I have that covered in my post here: viewtopic.php?f=185&t=299941Aktemur wrote: ↑11 May 2021 08:26 When you park the trailer and disconnect it from the semi, you need to lock the trailer brakes to keep it from moving. Re: Trailer air supply
Right now in the game when you push on the brake pedal it has no effect on the trailer brakes. In the earlier ATS game there used to be a setting to adjust the trailer brakes so that the tractor brakes don't do all the work. But for some unknown reason SCS has taken that adjustment out and not it is just the tractor stopping the truck and trailer.... I do wish they would put that adjustment back so you can control the stopping a lot better.

Re: Trailer air supply
this is not true.
service brakes (pedal) still work for all wheels be it on truck or trailer. exaclty as IRL.

Nobody can tell you anything about it. Those who know about it aren't allowed to talk. And those who talk know nothing.

Re: Trailer air supply
Well if that is true they need to be set up a little more then what they are now. Because they are not helping to slow the truck and trailer down..
