[future Coach Bus DLC] Sightseeing Tour bus job
[future Coach Bus DLC] Sightseeing Tour bus job
Just an gameplay idea. When the Coach Bus DLC is released, I'd like to do a tour bus job where you start from a big station or a hotel then go around several sightseeing spots/rest areas/souvenir shops/restaurants then finish at a hotel or an airport etc.

Who said anything about a Bus DLC in the making, this is a trucking game, not bus simulator.

SCS said it themselves… albeit almost ten years ago. But still.

Well yes, but that’s for euro truck, probably not for American truck.

That was 8 years ago and it was for ETS2, before ATS. I'm sure the project is no longer in development seeing how ATS is their "baby" now and consuming most of their focus along side ETS2. This was probably an idea they had in mind before ATS and they didn't think ATS was going to be as successful as they thought to be. SCS has done bus sims in the past and they were not that great.James5121 wrote: ↑02 Oct 2021 23:25SCS said it themselves… albeit almost ten years ago. But still.

Actually it could very well still be in production, just has a very small team working on it. The wouldn’t have kept adding bus stops to ets2 map if they weren’t working on it. It’s just probably one of those back burner far down the line tasks.

Even if they aren’t currently working on it, they definitely have plans to release a bus simulator sometime in the future. Be it a DLC for their existing games or as it’s own standalone title. This is all but confirmed due to them owning the domain eurocoachsimulator.com since 2013. They actually say on that page that the site isn’t their to confirm the game is in development, but only to hold the site for a future title.
The fact they still own that domain indicates they still have the intention to release some sort of coach based game/dlc

And there's another fact to think they want to do more driving games. Plain and simple: they put so much money and efforts in creating the maps, that to use them only on trucking games would be a waste. The maps are the most valuable assets SCS have, the sum of enormous efforts along lots of years. If for a fraction of that development cost they can be updated to be used in other games, they will do it so for sure.
But for the moment, it's more important that ATS will reach the maturity point in it's content and player base before they deviate more resources to other projects.
