Out of Production Truck Wishlist
Re: Out of Production Truck Wishlist
^Yeah, that's basically what I'm getting at on page one to set this thread up. There should be 1-2 dedicated out of production truck teams that is for older paid trucks. (2) old trucks a year per team. Combine that with 1-2 from the current in production teams and the truck roster would be more resemblant of US roads. 3-4 trucks every 12-14 months wouldn't be too bad. The out of production trucks would be best handled by external contractors imo. That way, the current in production trucks can be worked by inner SCS to keep things private and secret. But who cares about secrecy for out of production trucks. They are already released and past their time.
My post are only thoughts and ideas. Don't assume it makes ATS.

Forgot about this thread for a hot minute, oops.
I wouldn’t call the T2000 beautiful, but I do think it’s more interesting than some of its contemporary competitors and would love to drive it in ATS.
Also agree on maybe outsourcing the modelling work on these out of production trucks. It depends on how much they need to work with the manufacturer I think. If they just need the license, no problemo. If they need specifications and CAD models from the manufacturer, outsourcing is probably an issue.

Re: Out of Production Truck Wishlist
Sorry if this is a repeat but, is there a 351 Peterbilt Truck in ATS?

Re: Out of Production Truck Wishlist
This is my personal opinion but I agree with pigbrother in that the older paccar wide body trucks are not good looking, especially the T2000. And it seems like narrow cab trucks are a thing of the past which is why I’d like to see some in this poll. Pete 386 and KW T600 and T660 are some of my favorite aero trucks because they still have the narrow cabs. Last year of the T600 and T660s have same interior as W9. 386 has same interior as 389. I still would like to see W900A and Pete 359 options and any cabover would be welcome. My dad had a ‘77 Transtar for awhile so that would be my top choice but again any cabover would be a great addition.
A Freightliner FLD or Classic would be great to see. They’re both still pretty popular on the road. The Coronado is pretty similar to 122SD so I understand if that wouldn’t be an option yet but I do like that it has a long hood option whereas the 122SD doesn’t.

Re: Out of Production Truck Wishlist
As of today..this post, I have tallied up the current request. We have several trucks on the menu and we are well over the 15 available slots. There are quite a few one offs though. So if the poll had to be made today there are quite a few one offs that won't make the cut...but the below does not include my vote.
Excluding my nominations from page 1:
old Cascadia - 2
Century - 2
Classic XL - 2
Argosy - 2
Ultraliner - 2
Peterbilt 351 - 2
Peterbilt 359 - 3
W900A - 2
If I include my 5 votes it would add to the poll total. For me, I'd go:
K100
old Cascadia
Coronado 132
5700XE (unknown status at SCS currently) recently announced as discontinued so it can be a 50/50 truck already at SCS
Classic XL
With my votes, we'd end up with:
old Cascadia - 3
Century - 2
Classic XL - 3
Argosy - 2
Ultraliner - 2
Peterbilt 351 - 2
Peterbilt 359 - 2
W900A - 2
K100 - 2
Coronado 132 - 2
We'd have 5 more slots available for the poll. So for now what's in blue is the poll. Too many one off's for now. If I had to choose, I'd pick 5 one offs I like. I tallied up 49 models. We can only have 15.

Re: Out of Production Truck Wishlist
Need MACKs for me, Superliner and R-series, maybe Cruiseliner but think that Ultraliner is better imo
Re: Out of Production Truck Wishlist
@DAFmanXFE6 so if you are making those 4 request, that can remove your previous request GMC's and that adds votes to all 4 you like. Those 4 would then make the list to give us 14 spots with one truck selection left. Dec 31st, I'll finalize the poll and voting can kick off the new year. Now we may never get anything on this list or we just might get something from this list. But if just 1 out of the 15 trucks can come from this poll, that would be a huge lift for ATS. I seriously hope SCS considers this poll and ink a deal for at least one COE. I think that is what will push even more ETS2 players to supporting ATS. Trucks make a huge impact on what people will support. Mods are free but they are mods. Let SCS do the updating. Not everyone plays with mods and mods are not allowed in certain MP sessions. The maps...they are coming and once Texas and Montana drops, the map pace will accelerate. So it won't be about map size much longer after 2022 in ATS. ATS will be up to full speed for map quality much sooner than ETS2 so what would be the excuse to not support both games at that point?

Re: Out of Production Truck Wishlist
Happy to rescind my GMC post - MACK’s would be slightly easier to get licenses for given they have an active company to ask.
Re: Out of Production Truck Wishlist
Cool. So we are at:
Old Cascadia - 3
Century - 2
Classic XL - 3
Argosy - 2
Ultraliner - 3
Peterbilt 351 - 2
Peterbilt 359 - 2
W900A - 2
K100 - 2
Coronado 132 - 2
Mack R -2
Superliner -2
Cruiseliner - 2
I can't count, lol. That is 13. There was already votes for the Ultraliner so its 3 now vs 2. So 2 spots available. I wouldn't mind that Ultraliner at all. I'd like to see it coupled with a K100. I'd go for 3 COE and the rest conventional.
