Michigan Traffic Signals

#1 Post by supersobes » 10 Apr 2020 19:09

I knew Michigan had some weird traffic signals, but I didn't realize just how weird they were until I actually started looking into it. Michigan is characterized by wire span traffic signals. Those things seem to be found everywhere up there! What I find really odd are these light up signs. A lot of signalized intersections in Michigan seem to have light up signs hanging from them. The left turn signals are strange too. They have a lighted "LEFT" plaque above them. I've never seen that anywhere before. Michigan traffic signals are quite an interesting sight. It will for sure be interesting when this state comes to American Truck Simulator.

New Jeresy is another one. Some places in Jersey have the right turn jug to turn left but most are gone.

@Smarty Oh, that! I though he was talking about something with the design of the traffic signals themselves.

Double Post Merged

https://www.google.com/maps/@42.7408899 ... n-Michigan must be using all that steel to build boats and cars. Indiana does same wire concept at intersections but looks tackier at times.

Jughandles and wirespan traffic lights...
I'm so happy I don't live anywhere near that!
I'd love to see (and yell at) them in-game.
It's odd. I hate seeing some things in reality, but I love hating them in games! It makes the game much more realistic and fun. I know, it's odd to enjoy a game for it having something you hate. A friend and I call that the game catching those "ugh" details you encounter in life. They add an amazing bit of character and reality to the game.
For as much as we want SCS to accurately represent the cool, nice features of the areas they make, I also like it when they find ways to represent the less nice features as well.

@bobgrey1997 If you don't mind me asking, why do you have such a distaste for wire span traffic signals?
