I dont plan on shooting for 4k at the moment and mostly planning on playing more high end PC games with my new gaming PC.

i would wait with the 3070, nvidia has still something they didnt show and Lenovo suspiciously removed a gaming rig that included a 3070TI with 16GB Vram, doesnt need to mean anything but i wouldnt go buy one just yet, let them release everything they have first

The prices will start to drop, specially on second hand, once the new cards will be on sale. It's expected the 3080 to be released September 17th but the more expected 3070 (that will be the most wide purchased) will arrive in mid October, that's right.

About the AMD versions of CPUs, way better a 3600XT than a 3700X/3800X. The two XT models are the newer ones and have a way better turbo-clock speed for single core of 4,7GHz that helps a lot in tasks that doesn't require lots of cores. That makes smaller the gap in that kind of performance regarding the Intel counterparts. So, with a 3600 you have enough cores, then it's better the extra cost to be put on better clock speed than on more cores.

PS: As I've seen said in several places, if NVidia releases a 3070Ti (or super or whatever) for a few more bucks that the 3070 not so far after have sold tons of 3070; they are going to make very angry a lot of people. That "mistake" in the Lenovo's web is causing lots of suspicions on people wanting to go for the 3070 (that is in the nice spot for performance/price of the 30 series announced so far).

Unfortunately it doesn't break the price down per part other than the monitor, but the total was $1694 + $99 for the monitor + tax = $1804. By far the most I ever paid for a PC.

I found another receipt from Best Buy for a pre-built VPR Matrix in 2002.

$899 plus I had an additional 256MB of RAM installed for $100 lol. I still have that HDD in a box somewhere so I'll have to plug it in one of these days to find out what I was up to back then haha.

Makes sense. The 3090 has a 350W TDP, the 3080 320W, but the 3070 is only 220W. The 2080ti is at 250W. Meanwhile the 2060 that I want is at 160W haha. I was worried the 600W PSU I just bought wouldn't be good enough for the 30 series, but that 3070 is still in the zone even though 650W is recommended. But I won't have to worry about that for a few years.

Ok yep, just saw the release schedule. 17th for the 3080, 24th for the 3090, and October for the 3070. They're preying on the people who can't wait by selling the more expensive ones first lol.

The rest from that place I call Worst Buy... where you find less that costs you more.

If your playing 1080p one monitor only need 60-100 the fps on the monitor 2060 will be plenty of horsepower. The new Nivida 30rx gpu need new power supply you need a lot disposable income

Why a new PSU?
For the RTX 3070 or 3060 you can get by with 650W
You will need new cables or adapters though

Sure, you can run 3070 on 600 watt psu along with 3060, but 3080 and 90 you need spending $1000 to $1500 just for gpu and power supply. If your not playing at 4K or triple monitors would not bother with 30 RX series
