Microsoft migrated them all to the more recent Outlook.com platform some years ago. All new accounts will receive an @outlook.com kind of address while old @hotmail.com users I think they keep that as an alias (can still receive mails sent to old xyz@hotmail.com although the real actual address would be xyz@outlook.com). But not completely sure about that last part.

Correct, mails for the old hotmail domain goes to outlook.com, my hotmail account is perfectly valid and can be used as well as the more recent outlook account
Also hotmail.com redirects to outlook.com

I want nothing to do with 11

I had less problems with 8.1 than I do now with 10. And with all new motherboards, they're 1O only. I found that out a year ago when I had to build a new computer. I wonder when 11 comes out if will be the same..... all new motherboards will be 11 only.

You have an issue finding relevant HW drivers but "windows 11 only" is nothing more than a label

Actually there's no significant architectural changes in the driver side of Windows 11 so the Win10 drivers cease to work with it if in the future you need to try some dirty tricks (like lots of Vista drivers worked fine on Win7 when launched). Of course, there's always possibility for glitches or some issues on specific hardware/drivers combinations.
But before 2025 this will not be a concern for you, and probably at least 1 year more of margin until manufacturers don't release drivers for Win10 in their new products. Don't need to worry about that now.

Re: what do y'all think about the windows 11 so far?
I installed RTM build finally, yet, I can say I had many problems unlike Windows 10 or 8 ever.
For instance, Logitech Driving Force GT is no longer recognized. I doubt Logitech will make new drivers for this old girl, so if you have Logitech Driving Force GT , stay away from Windows 11 at first day.
Also lack of customization on Start menu, and right click context menu is being dumbed down (and make you go another step to reach it) kills productivity.
So after 3 days of test, I returned back to Windows 10 and possibly I will stay in Windows 10 at least another year.
