Favorite truck
Re: Favorite truck
I like the Peterbilts better, and I'm in the 389, which is supposed to be the toughest one to drive because it's the longest truck in the game. I think even PACCAR knows that the Peterbilts look better than the Kenworth T680, look at what they recently delivered to the Australians.
I like my 579 hooked up to the box trailers, and I like my 389 hooked up to flatbeds, tankers, heavy hauls. Something absolutely majestic about seeing a 389 is hooked up to a chromey tanker.
Now if only SCS did their research and realized that there is a owner operators edition of the 579, then it will look good when hooked up to flatbeds.
I do like though how Kenworth did not change anything notable about the W900.
But T680 got the best looking sleeper.

Re: Favorite truck
Do I have to choose one? Because my answer is - none. If absolutely had to choose, the T680 would be my choice, and it's the one I drive in ATS. Not a fan of American trucks. Now, the Aussie trucks are a completely different thing. I adore the T609 and the new T610. Stunning machines.

exterior: 389 > W900 > T680 > 579
interior: 579 > W900 > 389 > T680
I hang out with 389 most of the time. I would like a T680 exterior and a 579 interior for a pretty nice modern truck.

Re: Favorite truck
The W900 is the longest truck in the game. That's the reason why I prefer the 389, it has a great look, great customization and is not as long as the W900

Re: Favorite truck
I drive vanilla trucks 99% of the time. If I were to choose one, 579 hands down.
It'll do anything even in the 205" wheelbase. Stable, turns on a dime, top quality instruments, little grocery loads to heavy equipment or long tanks, the little 579 gets the job done.
Boost it up to 254" and it is the best all around truck in the game...great stability, maneuverability still there, the truck I buy when doing a restricted economy like Klass where you need every break you can get.
I love both the 389 in 283" and the W900 in 305". Just for pleasurable cruising down the highway, you can't beat the big KW, the extra two feet over the Pete is noticeable, but the 389 is almost as pleasant on the road and DOES make parking a bit easier, although neither is a tight turner. I'm not so much a fan of either in day cab, but both LOOK fine in that guise...
I have nothing positive to say about the T680.

Re: Favorite truck
Imho, the only thing positive for T680 is that at least they tried to make an aerodynamic truck. The result is not so great, but, hey, at least they tried. I like 579 on the inside, but the outside looks like it's made from leftovers. The daycab is good looking, but it's like the chief designer left afterwards and somebody said "just slap the first sleeper you can find in the back and call it a day".
However, if the new Ultraloft cabin will arrive in game, the 579 will clearly be my favorite.

Re: Favorite truck
I like my Kenny W900 and have been around for quite some time with the Pete 579 arround. The Pete 389 is also a nice truck but with the Kenny T680 to make difficult for me.
Re: Favorite truck
I like all the trucks, wish there was more to choose from.
My personal preferences are the 579 and T680 simply for the aerodynamic looks. The other two look like something my grandfather would drive - just my opinion..
