Re: Google maps truckspotting
@supersobes correct when they tore down the TA in Troutville that was when White's in Raphine expanded their lot. I live 2 hours from Roanoke and still don't understand why they did what they did. Should of left it well enough alone!
Re: Google maps truckspotting
Found a cool Peterbilt 387 for you to stare on.

So I actually recalled that this nonsense is fun. Here we go then, I-70 through the Rockies of Colorado.

- This nice lil' Volvo goes first on my list.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZzR7x9Enb9NKv2xw6 - Well, I looked at this same sign in ATS literally an hour ago.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/ghtbBzTSYfp6RC219 - There was no Freightliner Classic XL though.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/5ZvCx5YfgZH15Q1E7 - Does this beautiful Cascadia really deserve to be in the CR England's fleet?
https://maps.app.goo.gl/grTcY6k7Hehvj7NM8 - Then here's a FedEX triple.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/GQyAWqUCSFV25jtJ6 - And then one more, with a different Paccar and a Werner's T680 catching up.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/Mtwm29x7Jo32QTTx9 - Yes, one more. I'd like to see the guy who thought running a single axle truck with a triple trailer through Rockies is a good idea.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/eBWeWXdZmh1JhBSE8 - Here's an accidental view from the town along the highway. Red Cascadia with a trailer that looks strange and a motorhome towing a Volkswagen Baja Bug.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/2uw7ucBvpSbxrunF9 - I think these two qualify as trucks.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/CCXKNhDjJAorPAMc7 - Kenworth W900 with a short flattop sleeper and a seemingly shorter than usual dryvan. Rolling 90s.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/ZvRa5WXx25ZSRHFS6 - Here's another W900L. Short tanks and a two-piese windshield.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/WFGkxxe5bto4kLx58 - Square headlights Volvo. You know why it's here, eh.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/pjxCkka65kPMhtsz6 - RM Double bulk tanker.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/7g2dikwYtdXAgduP7 - Someone stole his trailers?
https://maps.app.goo.gl/bLK2ckfFxwagoRCe9 - I wonder, how'd they call their regional division.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/GKgj8qmRnE2EbdcB7 - Kenworth W900S spotted in the wild.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/pU4HTAT3irvdDU8a6 - T600. Looks pretty good in red.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/v3WnQmp3akFGXt8L6 - A pimped-up Volvo.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/djW4rxngCQAhUgn2A - Kenworth T800 with a bull bar and pulling a sliding tarp trailer.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/bwmbDUMeLtpSCQGG9 - Peterbilt 379. Simple and cool.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/31x3WgPtpdvJuiu3A - Cascadia straight truck. Not cool.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/3a2m7pqJVWKF1dD47 - CR England Cascadia. Again. Because red 2018 Cascadias look great.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/4eUCmf1BNkykMrLz8 - Another 379, this time it's a livestock hauler.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/eQdgcytPhx2F7XHf8 - You guess it, Peterbilt 379. 63" stand-up sleeper, tandem axle flatbed and probably chipping paint.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/sG5WAP4dfLLnqEev5 - 8x4 Kenworth T800W with a 3-axle lowboy. Almost screams "heavy haul".
https://maps.app.goo.gl/uT36koLaXCaYRY5G9 - FedEX supports diversity! Here's the International Prostar.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/c9g81uDCwNuKshUg8 - Freightliner Coronado. Has looong running boards.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/EjsXV5DeC63qgfBC9 - Classic and modern Peterbilts. 379 has single headlights. Both haul tankers.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/ABsGkg5SCXJZPf5N9 - A sleek customized Peterbilt 389 (I guess). Hauls armored Fords on a step deck trailer.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/42y35eJpx59aDSbz9 - "Superior Overnight". I wonder whether they floor their trucks like Monfort drivers did.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/gMQVH3TGVVomChTf7 - I'm somewhat impressed by the number of Peterbilt classics on this road. Here's a bulk hauler one.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/D1QAjdXYszZVJgeMA - FedEX Kenworth T800 with a 48' trailer. Big aero fairing, two-piece windshield and single drive.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/W2oSMTNpNJzLo9H18 - Another Peterbilt bulk hauler, this time it's the 389 model.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/XbmHt8N8dtLdreQU7 - Mack CH daycab. That Aussie look.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/fYXeZKF2bGdarfaW9 - Aero flatbed? Seriously?..
https://maps.app.goo.gl/M2vRGJZ7yuW57Q8a8 - Allied Moving truck. That integrated sleeper reminds of the 50s-era Macks or Autocars.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/Fo2Ni1D1bW2bNQjH6 - K-Dub. Never seen plastic quarter fenders on these. Not too much of a load there.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/T4HRpnmNjY6Q7F4u8 - Yes, this dude is technically a trucker too.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/cosv3Y2gMv2K3seC9 - Another W900L. Not an aerocab, but has what looks like a DEF tank. Red frame, non-standard reefer duel tank mount and spread axles on the trailer.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/55jaWXjKG9ec7iE27 - Short sleeper T660. Has a logging bolster on the frame.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/63cKnrnpvCeN92Hd9 - Red Cascadia, this one with plastic side fairings. Don't beat me, please.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/YPkoVQqWd31aJ9JDA - Kenworth T400 dump truck.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/uWeLL9yWdPWdXDwE8 - Heavy haul spec Peterbilt 378. Moves fast.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/Nv3iCZfa6Dhhm9Zg8 - Peterbilt 377 SFA dump truck. Might've been converted from a tractor truck or something.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/AksNaQdterDyACwu6 - W900L with a tiny sleeper. Hauls fuel.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/zWf9Kiya3dv8Xqj29 - A Cascadia without side fairings. Pulls a stepdeck loaded with air conditioners.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/rmMK6jYCS6An3knc7 - Red Prostar with a midroof sleeper and a flatbed. SAIA Volvo in the background.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/aMWgeoUitsjy4PgD6 - T800 daycab. Sports a green bug shield and a green frame. Of course, Cascadia sneaked in the view.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/rUUHBhDN6pmjWyyQ8 - One more Peterbilt 379, one more fuel tanker.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/UzAyV689KzqoQchPA - Moar Petes! Here's a 388 dumper with roadwork machinery on a trailer, probably heading for the roadwork site just a few hundred feet ahead.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/B4RDeujFFfFLMfbR6 - Mack Vision daycab. Seems to haul a hot chemicals trailer.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/qad9rPgkAdqAXZbT9 - Volvo dumper, the exact same setup as the 388 mentioned above.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/HhHgBMJKQx1cpQwMA - Another 379 flatbedder. Chicken lights, round headlights and cool purple color.
https://maps.app.goo.gl/cCB5cpJ79wfGhKiG7 - Freightliner M2 straight truck. "Knob Creek whiskey".

Re: Google maps truckspotting
- Navigating its way through a temporary traffic pattern is this nice looking Freightliner Cascadia from Swift.
- Spewing black smoke from the exhaust stack and leaving a soot stain on the front corner of the trailer is this pretty cool Sterling.
- All of the aerodynamics saved with the sideskirts and wheel covers are lost with the bull bar on this Freightliner Cascadia!
- This Peterbilt 567 only has one fuel tank because he's carrying his snow chains on the side of his chassis.
- The Kenworth T660 is one my favourite trucks. It loos great with this side dump trailer!
- This Volvo VNL has got his trailer tandems all the way back!
- Here's Old Dominion running this single axle Freightshaker and pup trailer.
- Here's a Peterbilt 567 hauling a roll-off dumpster.
- There are some nice looking rims on this KW T300. It looks like he's hauling some kind of pavement cleaning machinery.
- Sometimes a simple Freightliner M2 box truck is all you need.
- This Freightliner Columbia is hauling a shipping container on a tilt deck trailer whilst overtaking a Freightliner Cascadia.
- The traffic in this town though! I didn't think Denver was known for having bad traffic, but this seems to prove otherwise.

Re: Google maps truckspotting
Here's some on Interstate 66 in Virginia.
- Let's start things off with a lowboy being pulled by a Peterbilt 567.
- Here's a Freightliner Cascadia painted up in a nice shade of blue.
- The driver's looking at something, and it's not the road.
- Here's another blue Cascadia.
- Here's a pretty cool looking Western Star 4700.
- Here's a Freightliner Cascadia hauling pavers on a flatbed.
- Here's an old Sterling with bagged concrete on the side of the highway.
- Here's what's probably the most common truck in Northern Virginia: the Mack Granite vocational truck. We've got more of these than Cascadias around here!
- Here's a rare find. It's a Freightliner Cascadia with both a short hood and a sleeper cab. Despite the large amount of Cascadias around, that's not a common configuration.
- Here's an old Peterbilt grain hauler!

Re: Google maps truckspotting
@supersobes short hood Cascadia with a sleeper is quite common actually.

Re: Google maps truckspotting
It's always nice and relaxing listening to some some good music and doing some Google Maps truck spotting on some rural highways in Pennsylvania and Virginia. I also found a cool road sign at the junction of US-15 and I-70 in Frederick.
- Here's a couple of cool Western Star dump trucks.
- Here's an International ProStar.
- Check out this W900 logging truck!
- Here's another Western Star dump truck.
- Here's a Freightliner 108SD dump truck.
- Here's a green Hino straight truck.
- Here's a cool Peterbilt
- Here's a Kenworth T600 in a bit of rough shape.
- Here's an old Mack dump truck.
- Here's a Freightliner M2 106 from Pitt Ohio.
- Here's a trio of Mack dump trucks.
- Here's a Kenworth T800 heavy hauler.
- And ending things off with a very clean looking Freightliner Cascadia day cab.

Re: Google maps truckspotting
- Here's a very cool Peterbilt 379 with a b-double flatbed heading Southbound on I-5 in Washington.
- Here's a Peterbilt 579, a Volvo VNL, and an International LT making their way though a rainstorm on the I-10 viaduct in Mississippi.
- Here's a cool Kenworth T880 dump truck!
- Here's a Peterbilt 386 tanker truck parked at a truck stop down in North Carolina.
- Here's a Freightliner Classic, Columbia, Cascadia, and Century Class sitting in a parking lot. There's also a Peterbilt imposter in the back.
- They have a lot of cool trucks here!
- Here's a Kenworth T660 with a bit of fading to its paintwork. It has an interesting trailer; it's a 53' Great Dane dry van, but it drops just after the rear of the tractor chassis like a step deck trailer.
- Here's a Freightliner Coronado from JB Hunt.
- Here's a nice International LoneStar. You can tell this one is an older model year because of the mirrors. I use to hate these LoneStars, but after driving it for a while in ATS, I actually quite like it.
- Here's another T660, one of my all time favourite trucks. The older reefer trailer is looking awesome too!
- Here's another Pete 386 and another Coronado. For images taken in 2017, there sure were a lot of 2000s era trucks on this road that day!
- Here's a Kenworth T800 fuel tanker!
- This Peterbilt 579 is looking very nice!
- Here's a Sterling asphalt tanker truck.
- This T680 has another old reefer trailer. These have a cool aesthetic with the older reefer units, square and bulky lights with incandescent bulbs, and the sideskirt-less underneath. It's pretty cool looking.
- This one's not a truck, but it's some cool road signage.
- Here's a very beautiful Peterbilt 567!
- Here's a Mack Pinnacle food hauler.
Re: Google maps truckspotting
I ran an extremely similar setup in ATS some time ago.supersobes wrote: ↑23 Oct 2020 00:20

Pretty epic shot. "It was a heavy rain on Mississippi's I-10 with a Volvo in Monfort lane, five-seven-nine Pete with a reefer on and a 'Binder with a can..."[*]Here's a Peterbilt 579, a Volvo VNL, and an International LT making their way though a rainstorm on the I-10 viaduct in Mississippi.
Same story here. Generations should be determined by the doors and other parts though - current Lonestar has an option for these C-brace mirrors (which I'd like to see in the game).[*]Here's a nice International LoneStar. You can tell this one is an older model year because of the mirrors. I use to hate these LoneStars, but after driving it for a while in ATS, I actually quite like it.
