I hope this happens. VW will bring a needed improvement to quality to Navistar.
I can say this because I drive for a company that has Navistar and Freightliner ONLY as driving equipement.
I've been driving Internationals for 22 years. The product is not well built, very cheap quality-sqeaks and rattles to no end,
especially when they get old and up in mileage.

So it seems to be final:

Traton (VW's commercial vehicle holding) about to take over Navistar. Well, we shall see, if it's worth it and what the future might bring. So the North American / European truck market is in the hands of the major four: Paccar, Volvo, Daimler and VW (plus IVECO in Europe).
