@Hakan, @tvale80, @BK Vissers, @GerScaniaTrucker - Thanks guys! :)

[ external image ]

Nice to see some more grassy areas!
[ external image ]

High angle shot
[ external image ]

Oh yeah! Reached the coastline road 8-)
[ external image ]

Wait a minute. My dropoff point is near Santa Monica Pier. Lucky!
[ external image ]

Those buildings behind me have got a great view of the sea
[ external image ]

Found a hotel to rest at near the coastline. :)
[ external image ]

Time to wake up. Lots of activity around this area. I saw a blimp and a ship!
[ external image ]

Back in the truck
[ external image ]

Spotted a Pontiac Firebird Trans Am on the road. That looks amazing!
[ external image ]

Long trailer. Gotta be careful with this one.
[ external image ]

In Viva Mexico map... the off roading is crazy here. It was raining hard and I had to cross a tiny river from all the flooding.
[ external image ]

Absurd weather conditions right now. At least there's not too much traffic. Spotted some oversize loads being hauled through the night.
[ external image ]

Awesome mountain drive in Viva Mexico map. The trees look great here.
[ external image ]

Winding roads
[ external image ]

Come on traffic! Let's get a move on!!
[ external image ]

I must say... the scenery in Viva Mexico map is really interesting and varied. Very pleasant to drive through!
[ external image ]

[ external image ]

Reversing in horrible conditions. The truck feels a bit weird reversing. It's like my tires are on mud.
[ external image ]

  I didn't think the weather would get any worse than it already has. It's now pitch black at night and the downpour is insane.
I'm going to have to drive real slow. My side window view:
[ external image ]

The hydroplaning is getting real. This truck really wants to hydroplane in this rain. The brakes are also getting noticeably worse.
How much longer can I drive this truck?
[ external image ]

These two trucks broke down in the most annoying place. How am I going to get around them?
[ external image ]

I spent ages trying to get out of this mess but there was some uneven terrain meaning I couldn't steer. If I deattached the trailer then I could at least let my truck free.
I had no choice but to call Assistance Service. My fuel was already running dangerously low through my unsuccessful attempts to get out with diff lock.
[ external image ]

Meanwhile... the Assistance Service had to attend to AI traffic so I had to wait a while.
[ external image ]

While the Assistance Service was adding in some emergency fuel to my truck, I took a quick walk around the streets.
[ external image ]

Ready to go. Luckily I'm still on schedule. :)

@BK Vissers, @Hakan - Thanks guys! :)

I've now travelled over 100,000 km with this Kenworth! No repairs and it's still running! :D
[ external image ]

Finally arrived at the destination.
[ external image ]

Countryside driving!
[ external image ]

At the border for Viva Mexico map. This time in good weather. :)
[ external image ]

Those trees really stand out well in this shot
[ external image ]

Sunset! 8-)
[ external image ]

Clouds with a distinct orange-pink against the horizon always looks amazing! You can see them straight ahead.
[ external image ]

[ external image ]

This tanker truck was going the same route as me through the night. It's nice being behind another trucker, as long as he or she doesn't crash.
[ external image ]

Now this is really feeling like the wild west!
[ external image ]

Bird's eye view
[ external image ]

Convoy time! That Mack truck behind me has got an amazing light setup. One day I'll have some cool accessories.
[ external image ]

Not another AI collision... :? :( How am I going to get past these guys?
[ external image ]

I ain't got all night to wait for help... I have cargo to deliver and I don't want to be delayed yet again! Gonna try and squeeze my way through.
[ external image ]

Surprisingly the two truckers in the incident cooperated to let me through. One reversed to give me some clearance and one jackknifed into the ditch.
[ external image ]

Alright, here we go. It's so hard to see the terrain because of the darkness. Had to go out and check.
[ external image ]

Tilting off road. Need to get back on the road quick. Unfortunately I'm going to have to scratch the other trucker's trailer because there's just not enough space.
[ external image ]

 Looks really dangerous from this angle. Activated diff lock and going in 1st gear. Gonna need all the POWER I can get. This other trailer is trying to hold me back.
[ external image ]

FREEDOM! :D Hope that traffic pileup gets cleared.
[ external image ]

Geez... there's hardly any rest stops near this mountain range. I'm just gonna park on the grass alongside these trucks and take a break.
[ external image ]

It's very nice being away from the city. I can see the stars when I look up. :)
[ external image ]

Dinner time
[ external image ]

It's so dark in the truck with no lights. The moon is the only bright thing I can see.
[ external image ]

Gotta be extra careful reversing out onto the road
[ external image ]

Daylight again!
[ external image ]

That's all for now. Shouldn't be long till I finally get a new garage, truck, and truck upgrades. I seem to have just about money now.

Some nice creative camera locations and angles!

Driving at night can be a real pain. Easy on a nice highway. But if you need to maneuver, it's another story entirely.

@BK Vissers, @Hakan, @Milan1NL - Thanks guys! Glad you like it! :)

That water lighting though! ;) Beautiful!
[ external image ]

I returned back to Phoenix. I was waiting for the bug fixes for Project West at the time. I didn't want to travel too far away from my garage so I decided to do some short urgent deliveries, some were even across the street!
I do enjoy the time pressure for once. There was one delivery that was gonna expire in 4 minutes... and I floored it across the street and got there when there was 1 minute left till expiry.
[ external image ]

One of my favorite moments when using Sound Fixes Pack and Jazzycat's AI Traffic Pack - when you're driving at high speed that the motorcycle only slowly overtakes you so you get to hear some nice motorcycle sounds. :D
[ external image ]

Long train to the left!
[ external image ]

I'm trying out the Realistic Graphics Mod from the Steam Workshop. It uses some nice lighting + skyboxes from SGate.
[ external image ]

Sweet!!! 8-)
[ external image ]

Going blue
[ external image ]

The sunset and night-time driving experience is just so good. At night you get a very dark skybox with some stars, and the AI headlight flares are quite sharp and clear to see - as if they are high resolution.
[ external image ]

This is looking super immersive. Even the brake lights look clear up close and far away.
[ external image ]

Should I post this in the Real world section?
[ external image ]

Another delivery done
[ external image ]

Those clouds... awesome :D
[ external image ]

Have you guys heard "Drivin' My Life Away" by Rhett Atkins? Makes for a good trucking song here :)
[ external image ]

[ external image ]

[ external image ]

So many short deliveries :)
[ external image ]

Time to set off again
[ external image ]

Lovely scenery!
[ external image ]

Climbed the fuel station to see this :o
[ external image ]

Can't get enough of how realistic this game looks
[ external image ]

[ external image ]

The annoying drop off. Parking there is possible even with a trailer this long. Just takes some patience and a good approach. :)
[ external image ]

Advantage of Kenworth T680 day cabs - you can look over your shoulder for reversing.
[ external image ]

Reversing in the rain.
[ external image ]

[ external image ]

I have to say I really recommend the Realistic Graphics mod. Night driving is so much better.
[ external image ]

[ external image ]

Project West 1.3.2 enabled. Time for the final few trips with this truck.
[ external image ]

It's been great using this truck for so long. It's been 370 hp all this time. It doesn't accelerate like a Lamborghini, but it sure does feel like it propels its way up to speed!
[ external image ]

I've driven over 100,000 km in this Kenworth and here is how it held up. Not gonna bother repairing. At 100% wear on the tires, my truck only wants to hydroplane when it's raining. No other noticeable problems.
[ external image ]

Refueling
[ external image ]

Finally gave the truck an upgrade so it will be pleasant for my future employees. Time to unveil the new look!
[ external image ]

Still need to clean the windshields and windows though...

That is a nice graphics mod indeed.

Your refuelling shots are superb, somehow felt like RL more than game.
