supersobes' ATS Screenshots
Welcome to supersobes' ATS Truck Screenshots! Here I will post images that I have taken in American Truck Simulator along with my thoughts on the trucks and scenery in the images.
Unlike in my ETS2 screenshot thread, I don't have a main truck that I tend to stick to in ATS. I like almost all the American trucks, and I have hard time picking just one, so I often switch my truck and trailer configuration on a regular basis. I will start by introducing the combination that I've been using most recently though. This is my Kenworth W900 day cab and my basic 45' flatbed trailer. It has a 550 HP Caterpillar C15 engine that outputs 1,850 lb-ft torque at 1,200 RPM and an Eaton Fuller 18 speed transmission. I went with a simple white-on-chrome look which I think turned out quite nice. The idea I had for this configuration was just a simple workhorse truck that you find on the job site. I feel that this config fits the Oregon scenery quite well.

Here are some photos from my most recent trip which was just a deadhead across Portland to pick up a load.

Nice - you achieved what you intended - looks quite the workhorse. Nice shots too.

And your shots show it!
Re: supersobes' ATS Screenshots
Looks great, Sobes. Great job with making your ride look like a truck you might see in real life! It's gotta be a white truck, right? When I worked on the construction side of telecom, it was almost an unspoken rule that every member of the crew owned white pickups, lol.
I look forward to more.

Heading out of California back to Oregon.

My new favourite route in ATS: OR-140.

This little valley beside the water with the railroad bridge reminds of some of the places that I've been in Pennsylvania in real-life. Compared to the height of my truck, that bridge looks a lot shorter than 23 feet though.

Playing around with the saturation and colour balance. It makes the truck look pretty cool.

Just a quick run down US-97 and across OR-140 from The Dalles to Lakeview in the Volvo VNL.
