Other Tales From the Ritterverse

Welcome to a new adventure, Other Tales From the Ritterverse! Here there will be stories and characters that are not directly involved with J. Ritter Transport, my other screenshot and story thread, though they are in the same universe and may interact from time to time!

A little teaser to introduce Tommy. Tommy is J. RItter's little cousin. He wanted to be a trucker all his life, and always looked up to J. After saving up while driving for the big carriers, Tommy finally got a break, and bought a used 377 from J himself.

Although his family always calls him Tommy, he prefers TJ. Here is TJ doing his thing around WIlmington, NC. He is based out of Oregon, but has been running a lot in the east lately, making money to pay off his new-to-him 377. He had a Stoughton trailer, but constant issues caused him to sell it off for now. For the moment he is leasing a van from Ryder and it is doing him well.

Stay tuned for more stories, and more drivers! A couple of truck teasers (that can also be seen in the "Show Your Truck!" thread!)

TJ Goes West (Maybe)

TJ GOES WEST (MAYBE)

TJ, aka Tommy, had been running the Southeast a lot since he bought his truck. Being the young man he was with nothing much going on back home in Oregon, he didn't mind being out for long periods at a time. After a month or so, however, he decided to point his truck west. Looking at equipment online, he saw a trailer he wanted to check out in Shreveport, so he got his rented trailer loaded up in Charleston with a load of appliances headed to Louisiana. It was still a few hours before dawn when he rolled out from the warehouse.

It was still dark in Columbia when TJ got onto I-20. This road would take him all the way to his destination, except for the required bypass on 285 around Atlanta.

Daylight started to trickle in when Tommy hit the Georgia line. This whole trip would be hundreds of miles of Southern and Loblolly pines.

Day had truly broken when TJ crossed Lake Oconee, close to Covington, Georgia.

After circumventing Atlanta on its so-called "bypass," TJ put the hammer on and was crossing the Alabama line in no time.

When I-20 was built, it was built straight through the Talladega National Forest. It seemed kinda odd to to TJ, but he enjoyed the scenery. After this, he would stop in Anniston for a quick break, then ponder the rest of his trip. He would need to find some sleep later, there was no way around this not being a two-day drive. He also hoped that trailer in Shreveport would turn out to be a good deal.

(See? I DO run vans from time to time! lol)

And that dry van looks pretty realistic too. Nice shots.

Thanks, BK. The trailer is the Manac Ultraplate from HFG (Still Freight Market only). This is about as pure of a HFG setup as you can get, aside from Smarty's wheels, haha.

Oh yeah, ok, it’s what I use for Buddy’s Canada Cartage stuff. Cool.

That's right, it is! All the skins for that trailer are great.

By the way, I redid Guidot’s Strick trailer for Freight Market and made new skins and sent it to him. He was pretty excited and wants to use my work, so that should appear soon, I hope. I figure as we are both fans of his stuff you’d be interested. ;)

HECK YES! I love the Strick, and I have missed it ever since 1.31! That's awesome, BK.

A "Strick pic" from way on back in the summer of 2018, hahaha.
