Larry71490's Road Tales

#1 Post by Larry71490 » 24 Mar 2020 22:19

Larry is the owner of US Logistics which is primarily a freight brokerage firm. But recently got operating authority and plans on pulling reefers for now as a one truck owner operator.

Larry grew up around trucking and started a successful brokerage with an array of dedicated customers and trucking companies. Larry moves a lot of loads with @J. Ritter of J. Ritter Transport and @BK Vissers.

US Logistics serves the Southwest, West, and PNW. Hopefully Larry can expand to all 48 states.

Great start! That's a fine looking Peterbilt there! :)

Scania trucks are the best, but the Peterbilts are good too.
Road signs are just as important as the road itself.

Larry was at his shop in Ontario, OR doing some work on his truck when he got a call from Travis who is the head of traffic at Global Mills. Travis asked Larry if he could cover a load that had to be in Seattle by 7PM so it can make the ship to go overseas by morning. Larry asked why such short notice? Travis explained they had an equipment malfunction and that backlogged everything. Larry said so what is the details of the load? Travis said it is 40,000 lbs of frozen food. Larry agreed to do it.

Good stuff. I love all the shots on I-90. Makes me want to shut down this work laptop and fire up my PC! :)

I love running to Seattle in real life too. SCS did a great job on it.

The whole I-90 stretch is one of the best in the game. It just feels more "real" to me than any of the others, like you really are on an interstate. Hard to explain, but you know what I mean.

My favorite old spot in the game for this feeling, not necessarily the scenery, is I-10 between Phoenix and Tucson. Once again, can't explain why, but it just feels so "interstate" to me.

Nice start, @Larry71490! Guess I’m gonna have to post something myself!

Beautiful skies in your shots.
