SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. Didn't get the logs before but just now I hovered over Bettles to get a screenshot, got the log but I don't think you'll find anything useful in it: https://pastebin.com/XvNKvaB9 I don't think it prints an errors for this texture issue, I think you'd have to run some openGL debug to see that, hmm, wonder if I can do that.

It's a bit messy as the mod folder is full of stuff but I'm not using that many on this profile. Ran the same profile under proton dx11/vulkan and it all looks ok.

Googling I found "Export AND save as DDS, with mipmaps and DXT5 compression". I may be able to find them programmatically. I've had some success at fixing these textures in other mods but some failures too, might have time to look at it tomorrow.

Thankyou @hawkbs for working on and updating the map so we can drive on it.

However, I've ran into an issue and was wondering if it was just me or are others encountering this, or if you're aware of this.
First off, I keep my GPU load at ~66-75% and this gives me plenty of overhead should I ever need it.
My GPU temps are never above 66 degrees max and under load my CPU temps are always hovering around ~44ish, but mostly 47-49 degrees max.

Anyways...
Took off from Fairbanks and drove to the very start of the dalton. I go into the 1st rest stop, reset my 'dashboard trip info' in a default Mack and save.
I start driving and ~12-13miles along the road, I get a big freeze for 5-10sec, then a couple of secs after that, I get another big freeze and another. It does this for a mile or two.

At roughly the ~35 mile mark along the road from when I first reset my dashboard trip info.. this happens again, just like before.
This happens a couple of more times on my way up to Coldfoot.
I pull into Coldfoot and save. I then start driving north again and about 20-30 miles up the road from Coldfoot, it happens again.
I esc and Alt+Tab to taskmanager..nothing is happening in the background processes, but my GPU is 100%.
Go back into ATS, hit Alt+Enter for fullscreen, goto options and everything in the menu is unresponsive and slow, Check GPU usage and it's still at 100%.

I'm not sure whats going on, but I did check my logs and I have in particular, 7 Warnings re. "excessive boundary sectors".
I checked my other 'home' directory folder where none of my profiles have any mods, totally vanilla game.. checked the game.log.txt and I don't see the
Warnings re. excessive boundary sectors in that.

I also checked a further, different home directory where i have ats with promods and there is nothing in the logs re. those warnings.
I do remember though, when Idaho was first released.. checking the logs, they had those specific warnings but scs was able to fix them in an update and when Colorado released.

It maybe just coincidence, but I'm wondering if those boundary sectors are possibly causing the issue I find myself running into.
I start ATS from different shortcuts for different home directories and give the sim plenty resources. I also have set: "buffer_page_size=40" in config.

Ive been driving 15 hours on this map since Saturday, from Coldfoot to Dead-horse, back to Coldfoot and I'm now near Pumpstation 7.
I've had no Issues at all. This map is my favorite.

Thanks and I appreciate your input, though my specs are in my sig.
Adding to them.. win10pro is on a 500gb sam nvme plus and ATS/ETS2/AC/ACC is on 1TB sam nvme plus. The rest of my steam library is on SSD's,
so I know there's no problems with data throughput.
CPU is LC'd.

..and although my TitanX sc is getting on a bit..I can run vanilla with all dlc at high settings and with triples multimon2 np's.
msfs2020 in a flight cockpit with good settings runs too.
As i was saying to hawkbs.. I'm wondering about those errors i'm seeing and if they have anything to do with what i'm experiencing atm.

fyi...I've ran the dalton in ATS from when it was first released here and it's always been fine.

hawk, I was wondering about the gamedata file that used to be in the defs..
Did scs change where it resides within map mods, or is there no need to include it anymore.??
Reason being, I used to change the mirror fov in that file and don't want to add a gamedata file just for mirrors, incase that conflicts with your map.

@bri2233 First of all. When you created that profile did you choose dalton.mdb instead of default game profile? This is 1:1 size map and will not be compatible with C2C, Promods or everything else.
Secondly, check did you set correct map load order.
The biggest stupidities are done with serious faces.

@Grizzly Check your messages. Also thanks for the floating house find will sort that one. (edit : fixed it.)

@paulieGTR Not sure whats going on there. Havent changed the terrain in years. Those warning messages have been there since about 1.26 or earlier cant recall but you have been driving with those same terrains
for the past few years. They are just very large Bezier patches used as terrains to form the hills. Sometimes things like that could be traffic related or events loading in or sector changes is all I can think of.

yea that was the issue did not choose Dalton.mdb first time playing a standalone map did not no what the hell i was doing thanks for the help @horseman89

Looks like it may be navigation since I started a completely new profile.. or sectors loading etc.
