[DISC] US Expansion V2.6.2

Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check the Forum Rules.

I'll completely overhaul that area, as you can see on my concept map. 1.3.00 will be ready soon. I'll also make my own version of Parker, but not until fall.

Well that makes it an easy call to make then... when you drop 1.3.00, I'll republish my guide leaving out those sectors/cities. Thanks Pazz!

I'm patient with map mods. I can wait on PaZz. Excellent quality with very very few bugs. There only so many map modders I trust and run anyways.

So, it's not only about those three town and/or the US-95: if PaZzMod does a complete overhaul of that area, I'm confident that he will make that area beautiful and authentic. And if that's the case, then there is no problem with loosing the US Expansion versions of Quartzsite, Parker and Vidal Junction.
The same happened with towns like Placerville, Yuba, Chico, South Lake City, etc. Instead we now have Sierra Nevada. And, oh boy, what a beautiful map mod is that!
So, yeah, in fact it's all about ATS evolving. And sometimes that hurts. But in the end ATS is getting better and better.

[Edit]
As far as I can tell, US Expansion SN is also compatible with Minor Urban Overhaul 11.2, without the use of US Expansion Compability Patch for Urban Overhaul, as that patch only contains sectors which are not in US Expansion.SN anymore.

@Vinnie Terranova Ever since Utah released, you haven't needed to use the C2C version, just the regular version.

@Blackspots Where did you find that information? I haven't read all the posts of the US Expansion thread, just the last few posts, and of course the info I found in the first post:

Place the US Expansion mod above every map mod that you have!
(...)
You must use only one version! Choose V2.6.2 (C2C) if you play with the C2C map mod or choose V2.6.2 if you are not using C2C!

DOWNLOAD
US Expansion V2.6.2: url
US Expansion V2.6.2 (C2C Compatible Version): url

UPDATE V2.6.2:
(...)
- There will be no more C2C Compatible Version require to be able to play with the C2C map mod by Mantrid!
(...)
It clearly tells me I have to use the C2C compatible version, and I have to put it above all other map mods. And the info in the UPDATE section tells me, that future versions of US Expansion (beginning with v2.7) will not require a seperate C2C compatible version anymore. But that's for the future. As we only have v2.6.2 it means we still have to use the C2C compatible version, and we still have to put it above all other map mods. That's what I can conclude after reading the information about v2.6.2.

Well, that's because P16 didn't know that he didn't have to make a C2C compatible version after Utah. Especially after I modified Roswell in C2C to match what he did there. (That was the only reason for having a C2C compatible version, but after I modified Roswell in C2C, there was no need for one - too many people were putting US Expansion in the wrong place in the mod manager and complaining about broken roads)

That was fast! Thanks!

Btw, step 2 (Note: total of 64 files remaining now) -> 48 files
in step 7 in the code block: Mega Resources 2.1.13 -> Mega Resources 2.1.14

Is it correct that Forks needs to be deleted in the step below?
Forks is one of the cities which are left behind.

- Navigate to "def\company\hms_con_svc\editor\"
- Delete all the sii files except:

Code: Select all

cimarron.sii
fort_sumner.sii
tonasket.sii
