[WIP] Arkansas Project
I have started working on a new map project the other day. It is a 1:1 scale virtual Arkansas. Arkansas is a state in the United States to the west of the Mississippi River where the Arkansas River meets it.
The very first thing I made is the Cantrell Exit of I 30 in Downtown Little Rock. I have decided to work on Little Rock first, then work into North Little Rock, and then to the Benton/Bryant area... So far, I have Interstate 30 through exits 139B, 140, 140A, 140B, and 141A, Cantrell RD from I30 to 2nd Street, Interstate 630 From I30 to Exit 1A and the I30/I630 and I30/Cantrell Rd interchanges built.
My hope is to eventually have at least all of Central Arkansas on a 1:1 scale with ALL Interstate, Federal, and State Highways drivable, as well as all primary and secondary city streets... (excluding most neighborhood residential roads, as they are neither primary, nor secondary roads...)
I am also looking for help on this project.
What I need:
1: Mappers
2: Assets (new signs/ buildings/ etc.)
3: Prefabs
4: Programmers (New Cities, Companies, Time Scale, etc.)
If interested, please PM me!
I do use "mods" and plan to include them if I can get permission from the creators:
1: FLD's ETS2 Prefabs (mainly railings, and few road prefabs)
2: natvander's "Little Roadsign Project" signs
3: Sign Images (Custom made by me, and some ported over from ETS2)
All will be packed with the map and should be compatible with other mods and files
I have only been working on this for a few days (very little each day so far) and do not have much done. When I get enough done to warrant some pictures, I will be sure to take some and share some progress.
Let me know if this seems like a good/interesting idea! For those of you who have seen my "Talson Project" and would like to see it released, don't worry, I do still occasionally work on it, but I just can't seem to figure out how I want to continue it. If I can this Arkansas map going, I may add parts of it to the Talson map to get it going as well...

Re: [WIP] Arkansas Project
An Update!
So, when I opened this thread, I had the Cantrell Exit and the I30/I630 Interchange build.
Here those are:
Cantrell Rd Exit:

I30/I630 Interchange:

Now, I have Interstate 30 built all the way from the Cantrell Rd Exit to the University Ave. Exit!

Here is Google Maps link to see this whole stretch of I 30 and more in Little Rock, Arkansas:
https://www.google.com/maps/@34.7126198 ... !1e3?hl=en
When I get to Interstate 430, I will then go up to Interstate 630/Chenal Parkway (the Big Rock Interchange) or to the I430 Cantrell Rd Exit. Then work on Interstate 630. When I have these three freeways made, I will then work on decorating them and finishing them. Then it will be time to work on the city streets of Little Rock. I hope to be able to release a "finished" map which will be Little Rock. Then work on nearby areas, like extending 30 and 430 to Interstate 40, and building I40 in North Little Rock. The I30/I40/JFK BLVD Exit/Interchange will be some work!

Great! I would love to play this map, but unfortunately can't model or code.

Villasenor: Its actually pretty easy to create a map once you learn how. Creating models isn't necessary if you want to use the existing in game models.

Re: [WIP] Arkansas Project
I plan to add new buildings, bridges, railings, signs, prefabs, and vehicles to match local city and county police, fire, and ambulance...
