[REL][WIP] ProMods: Canada version 1.x updates and discussion

Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check chapters [4] and [5] of Forum Rules.

I believe they stated on Discord that it will only be for the latest version SCS releases at the time. So 1.39 in this case. ProMods will always stay current with SCS to benefit from the new assets/features/content.

Latest version, on release check which Map DLCs are required
I will assume the team will have a compatibility list or similar

Yes it will change for sure. The version after v1.0 could require Idaho as it has Canada 21 and Canada 95. If the following version comes before Montana or not, SCS needs to get US-2 heading to Kalispell so that Bonner's Ferry can be in place as a scenic town. ProMods would have to connect to that.

If we are lucky, we get Wyoming and Montana next year. Otherwise, it could be Wyoming and Texas. Montana, provides ProMods with a ton of space for several years. With BC, Alberta and Saskatchewan, I don't think ProMods will get to far ahead of SCS once Montana is in place. It will be years before ProMods will need North Dakota. I'm guessing ND is in place by 2025 perhaps. Regards when ND comes, Montana is that key state to get the bulk of Canada's busiest road network into the game until they hit the East.

^Yep. That is what I said on Discord. I know they may want to push East because its the busier roads perhaps but I think its better to push North until SCS catches up when it comes down to waiting. Getting to far ahead of SCS imho, means backtracking and having to updating more. To me, its better to let SCS push the pace and connect to them instead of having double back to connect. Plus, they will be able to use any new assets that is not pushed to the base files.

@bricksathome thanks for the update....map and scenery looks fantastic....was hoping for #3 through Sparwood/Ferney/Cranbrook etc but there is a ton there
