[REL][WIP] ProMods: Canada version 1.x updates and discussion

Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check chapters [4] and [5] of Forum Rules.

That detailed map looks incredible. It ever so slightly bothers me that US-97 isn't labeled north of WA-20 nor BC-97 between Osoyoos and the BC-3A, but I've been learning how to add map overlays lately, so I might just add them myself to quell my minor qualms :P

This is going to be one heck of a map expansion, one that will become a must-have for all ATS fans, even vanilla-philes like myself.

The more vanilla's converted over to add this Project the better. Over all it supports them. They......the ProMods team can get more support thru donors or paid downloads. It also lets them know that people really want this project to succeed. Most of all, it helps SCS get more support for ATS. Not only newcomers but certain dlc's are sometimes required so if you want to use ProMods Canada, there are requirements. For those that must drive, if you want the physical connection, you have to get the bordering dlc's at least.

I understand not everyone plans to buy all dlc's. Me personally I don't understand why anyone would want gaps in the map but that is not my decision to make for everyone. You get the best bang for the buck when all the latest maps are added. Some can't afford it, others just may not want it. We can't control what everyone's map looks though.

I would like to ask a question to the creator of this topic.
I can post as material of interest to keep the map of the technical road study for nunavut registered, in fact there are two technical studies, for two different highways.

I'd imagine it would be the same way as ETS2. I don't think it will go on mod sites like other mods. They have a nice lil system going on how they do things.

Been lurking this thread ever since my last post in it... the TMG trailer is so exciting! They have included several areas of my commute to work in the lower mainland area, down to the intersection :D And the little details like the BCAS ambulances and RCMP cars, the beautiful signage made by Smarty... If the bridge at 1:16 is the one I think it is, I've even camped underneath there. You have made this local very happy, I doubt I'll ever leave to the lower 48 again :D I really hope you do Highway 1 and Highway 97 next... I promise everyone here you'll love the Fraser Canyon!

I wonder what drops first.......ProMods Canada or the new Cascadia. If both came this week, my Thanksgiving weekend will be well spent this year, lol.
