[REL] ProMods: Canada v1.2.4 updates and discussion

Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check the Forum Rules.

Guys, I don't know if this is the right place to report this, but please check out the Port Mann Bridge and its adjacent roads for invisible walls. I ran into several in both eastward and westward "frontage" lanes.
Love your work!

I understand SCS has to be fair to all mods, but ProMods imho is a huge benefit to both games. SCS knows how legit they are as they have been established for years. That's one map mod no one wants to see restricted. Some people play these games just because of them. Not to mention, ProMods is a nice recruit place for SCS.
I thought that according to you the Mods were not profitable for SCS ? you understand better now my message in the Freightliner topic ?

Imagine all those people like you say who don't play their ETS2 or ATS games anymore.

Wouldn't that be a loss of profit for SCS?

So I stay on my position that SCS also let the modders, or cartographer to do, what it misses and bring more to their game, all the games that allow mods work like that, I know what I speak for having worked as modders on a whole other game of simulation where the modders had their place to make the game live, in the background with the agreement of the creators of the game.

=============================================

To come back to what Promods brings, whether it's fast or very slow, do it yourself even if it seems like an eternity, and let these people work, who give their all for quality and content, on their own time, thanks.

It is with this kind of childish reaction that the creators stop their content...

Both promods topics has been locked by the moderators for a couple of months due to a controversy
I am glad the ban has been lifted
That has literally zero impact on how quickly the Promods team expands BC. They even have their own forums. My point is the map itself and the roads there are is really small and there is no new content since release. This is a snails pace as far as map mods go and its going to be years before they even get to Alberta if they dont pick up the pace not to even mention the rest of Canada. I understand they are keeping a high quality of their work but at its current state this is a tiny map addition and does not really expand ATS much like it does for ETS2.

Promods Canada does a really good job and their addition to the map is one of the best out there. I know how much work it is to deliver quality and especially if the team working on it isn't that big. So that just takes time.
So if you want quality, you just have to be patient. If you want quantity, just choose Canadream. It's that simple.

@olaf28

It's so true ;) also know that at Promods Canada there are only 2 currently working on the cards .

Some HERE I think should release something at promods level to start with, and then we'll talk about it ...

Then there is an issue in management. Why only have 1.5 guys working on such a big project?

No issue at all as I see it

There is no issue in management. This is a volunteer project mostly made by fans as a hobby. They mostly work on whatever area they want to work. ProMods are under no obligation to force their mappers wanting to do Europe to relocate to working on Canada or vice versa.
