[REL] ProMods: Canada v1.2.4 updates and discussion

Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check the Forum Rules.

@AlabamaCowboy The ProMods support inbox is only manned by ScuL and with the amount of messages coming in it's not uncommon for responses to take around a month. The fastest way to get support would be to join the ProMods Discord as Flight50 mentioned and then send a message to the 'ProMail' bot as that opens a ticket that the whole team can view. I assume you've used the ProMods self-help to make sure you've definitely got the username correct? https://www.promods.net/help.php?mode=lostuser

As for a general ProMods Canada Update, progress has been slower than would be ideal, a combination of Nico moving house, me going through final school 'exams' and other developers focusing on ETS2 projects. I'm free now though so can hopefully increase the pace again. We've also found a fix for the broken left turn lights that occurred after the 1.40 update so fingers crossed there'll be update out for that at some point

@bricksathome That is awesome news for the lights. Also no worries on slowed pace. It is what it is but real life is always priority. We all rather have good quality than just throwing something together. The cool thing about Canada is that it all seems so scenic and everyone working it is so good at the visual aspect.

One suggestion would be to add cities in southern Alberta. Add Medicine Hat, Lethbridge, and Red Deer. As well as highways 3 and 36.

Right now they're working on BC, Alberta would be "next", obviously those cities would be included when that happens. :roll:

Agreed. I would say Toddr037's suggestion isn't necessary. It will be years before Canada is done. No way ProMods is just this part of Canada. The map will be build incrementally just like SCS is doing in the US. It takes time to build these maps and ProMods doesn't get paid to do this stuff like SCS does.

not sure if this is the right place , but when i choose Prince George in Quick Jobs the game crash , check it my game log and not end with an error but warning.

There is no Prince George in this mod yet. Are you thinking of CanaDreams? If so, then no this is not the right place. That is a totally different mod that is not ProMods.
