[REL] ProMods: Canada v1.2.4 updates and discussion

Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check the Forum Rules.

@flight50 yes but scs is treating states in ats the way they treat countries in ETS2

i have no doubt that SCS will eventually get to canada i just wish they would take the approuch with ATS that they have with ETS2 and release several states in a bundle package say like Texas, oklahoma, kansas and nebraska and call it tornado alley dlc as those states are known as tornado alley

group the dakotas, virginias, and carolina's together along with New England including maine and then that would be 4 different dlc packs right there

Texas can't be grouped with anything. Its 2-3 states by itself. It would take 5 years if Texas git bundled. In 5 years, a ton coukd change. Tgar is tge one advantage of one state at a time.

Anotger thing to remember is that the vast majority if the ETS2 team is on these huge dlc's. ATS had 4 projects at once basically. 1 team on Wyoming, 1 on the rebuild and 2 in Texas. ETS2 has 2 teams....that we know of. Rebuild and the next dlc.

Because ProMods is a hobby project and developers get to choose where they want to work, and most developers have got real life obligations influencing how much they can work.
If we had the option to expand the team then we would, but finding people that can use the map editor and are willing to donate hundreds of hours of their time for free (especially for ATS) isn't so easy, apparently.

At the end of the day, we make it for free, you get it for free, take it or leave it.

I've not actually touched ETS2 mapping for about a year, my forum signature is just wildly out of date :P

Anybody know if they going to update the definition file to fix the trailers in Wyoming?

ProMods Canada 1.1.0 sounds like an exciting update. I'll be sure to check it out when it's released :)

B-double triples and rocky mountain doubles are all allowed in Wyoming on base game. But when you add promods, it breaks the ownable trailers in Wyoming.
