I wonder when some 1:3 map mod will be released for download? Will it be possible to add vehicles traffic mods to the map? If it was released, you wouldn't forget to add all signs' asset. Currently from my point of view, there all almost all road signs in vanilla map mods.

I'm definitely for a 1:1 scale. I currently drive the fantastic Heilbronn map in ETS and it's a complete difference, more real and more like irl driving. But is has only 90 km distance and I wish it would b more. So definitely wait for a big American map 1:1 or 1:3... I'll drive it.

How big is that map now? Last I seen (which was years ago), it was only one road with a few towns along it.

That's still the case, because it's all about the Dalton & Elliott Hwy. But compared to a few years ago, in the north there are some extra roads I believe.

Well, you see, I think Dukeone was talking about the realism 1:1 maps can bring. Driving a single road over and over isn't very realistic.

Here is a tutorial made by me on how to do large scale maps without a background map because background map will be too big for an image even on the smallest scale proposed

Also RenderDoc would be a great tool to gather 3d models

You don't have to have a background map that covers the whole area, you can use several smaller (area) maps and move the map offset.
