[REL] Route Alaska v1.7 upd 1.49

Forum rules
SCS as a company do not wish to have paid mods on this forum. While we understand that not all paid mods use the Intellectual Property of other companies/people, it is very hard to moderate what is and isn't acceptable when money is involved. There are also concerns that it could look unfavorable to potential work partners going forward if SCS allow mods that may potentially use unlicensed branding.
Posting in the Mods forum (ATS and ETS2) is restricted to sharing free-to-the-public mods and providing support for mods. For more details, please check the Forum Rules.

@ivanmykyta it's your map mod ofcourse, so feel free to do whatever you want. But... are you creating this mod mainly for yourself, or do you want other people to use your mod as well? For now it doesn't really matter if Valdez is in the Pacific and Lake is somewhere at Glacier Bay National Park & Preserve. But in the future there is a possibility that ProMods will be mapping in that area which will overwrite your mod. People then have to choose between ProMods or Route Alaska.

Besides that, I think it is easier to create a map using one of the background map mods. And also I think it's better to move your map to the correct position while it is still small, instead of moving your map in the future when the map is bigger.

Vinnie Terranova I would have thought to use some other background, perhaps I will use yours with your permission, but even on this background I have already gone beyond the borders of Alaska to Canada, the map has already been transferred, the blue marker is where it was, the distance is obvious

That looks better! One thing though: you put Valdez southwest of where Anchorage would be, while in real life Valdez is east of Anchorage... And is Lake a town, or the name of one of the lakes? Where is it in real life? And what scale are you using?

Vinnie Terranova Yes, this is so, the city is not in its place, the lake is the working name of one of the following points, it will not be there, this point, this is mine for work, I needed two points on the map. Now I fixed the problem with the companies, because they disappeared due to the proximity of the lake point, the game did not see the delivery of Valdez, then I will reload the map and give a link for members of the forum. I need to make a map autonomously, there I can change the scale without reference to the continent.

So if I understand correctly, Route Alaska will be a stand-alone map in the near future?

It would be easier for me to work with the scale, it can be changed but without being tied to the default, then you can return it to the default, with the changed scale.

I really hope you do not make this stand alone, thats whats so great about this mod is that its not. We already have the Dalton highway mod. What ATS needs is this type of Alaska addon, not a standalone Alaska.

Well, I will take into account the opinion of the community, we need to make at least three cities.

https://sharemods.com/33ih9rhtzovc/ATS_ ... 1.rar.html here the map has been moved, and the problem with the disappeared companies has been fixed, the next update will already be with new cities.
